Some here have been hinting subtly or not so subtly about OP's spelling and OP has taken it on the chin, to give him his due.

My partner also has trouble with spelling, and the to / too confusion gets him every time.

For what it's worth, this may help:

I am going to the shops
I have to get my hair cut
What did you do to my car?

    I am too hot
    He was too noisy
    I ate too much

'To' is a little tricky to explain by me as I have an instinct, rather than academic knowledge, for grammar! 'Too' is a bit easier, though - if you can remember 'too much', you'll know when not to use it.

Another way of thinking of it... if you read out my examples above, you'll notice that the 'to' examples have a short 'to' sound, while the 'too' ones are more 'tooooo'

It's not my style to pick up on people for their spelling or grammar, but this might have helped someone :)
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Enough! lets not turn this thread into a slanging match. :(
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

No thanks; whilst I might make the occasional typo, my English is excellent. Yours is clearly awful.

I'll close this now as I'm not sure leaving the thread open serves any real purpose.

Can I please just remind all users that Martin asks that we be nice to each other.
