justpaper please do not be insulted by this, you clearly have problems with either your typing or your spelling and grammar, and as a previous poster has said this can give what you type a different meaning.

In the hope that in future it may save you some frustration trying to express yourself can I suggest you consider using the program iespell, it is a completely free application that at a right click will spell check your forum posts and any emails or messages you may be sending other ebayers, unfortunately it won't correct errors in grammar but it will reduce the possibility of you giving the wrong impression about your intentions.

  • Whether you like it or not - the moment you see a listing with the errors that the original post/title contained, alarm bells called 'N I G E R I A' start ringing.

I'm with the buyer on this one. If your listings arent clear; are misleading; or make demands that are contray to eBay policy, then you cannot blame it on the punters looking at your items.

    Its ultimately down to you.

    Then accept the consequences.....
  • As a seller a bank transfer would be perfect but put yourself in the buyers position, they have no come back if you fail to send the goods.

    If he's gona pay- great

If he doesn't, file a jon paying bidder thingy out and relist for free and actually spell your auction right this time

I agree with thrse people, i wouldn't have even bid on auction if your spelling here is anything to go by

If your feedback % rating too low, or the number too low i would instantly avoid
  • Using a computer means that you have all the time in the world to go back over what has been written and convert it into the correct English, complete with punctuation etc - im is really I'm for instance.
That is a first worry for me, so I woulld not have bid at all if the description was written in the same way as the posts. As someone else has said, I just think NIGERIA and SCAM.
Second worry, if I had bid and won, would be the seller changing his mind about payment methods.
Obviously you are straight, or you would not be posting all this here, but look at it from the buyer's point of view. He's now worried about going ahead.
If you want to keep his sale you should send him an email, type it, read it through, change anything that looks odd (im), read it again. Sit and think about it, read it again, make more alterations, and then send it.
Why not give him your telephone number and tell him to call you to see that you are kosher and not in Taiwan or Nigeria?

I have a similar problem to the poster, in that I type way to fast for my brain and common word I always mispell are coudl, woudl, shoudl.

back on topic I'm afraid I agree with the majority, bank transfer is a dodgy way to pay, he has no comeback at all and especially for such an expensive item i can't see him wanting to pay any other way than paypal/nochex etc.

I see your point and I'm the same, I only accept bank transfer/cheque/postal order etc but my items cost a little less.

I agree with the last poster, send him your phone number, explain it was a mistake and you might convince him your all ok and you can have your sale.
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!
  • I would never have even bid on an expensive item from someone that had less than ideal feedback, that offered no secure method of payment.

This could be the reason why it didn't go for as much as you hoped.

Always look at what you are doing from a buyers point of view.

Did you email him in the same stlye as this thread? If so, that would really put me off buying from somebody.

To be honest, your thread is quite unclear overall.
