I think for Victory, better to get out and feel better away from that poisonous environment.
Hope you are both getting on ok vitor and Betty at your meetings.
you do have to be pretty bloody minded about it, i have done it and won but its probably fair to say im an !!!!!! :rotfl:
no point staying somewhere making you ill0 -
So, I went to SW, judgemental as the follow sounds but the lady that signs you in was extremely large, the lady that should meet and greet you but had us standing around like lost dogs was very very large and the lady that runs the class was as wide as she was tall:eek: so if SW works as it has been proven by millions how come the leaders are as they are?
I felt uncomfortable and out of place, not spoken to often, left on the side lines whilst they were sorting it all out as were the others, and to top it all off the scales there weighed me 7.5l more than mine did this very morning:eek: told OH and he laughed so hard he nearly chocked:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: 2 scales 7.5lb difference well I NEVER:rotfl:, he reckons they do it on purpose so that next week I would have lost;)
Glad I went not for me not again too many negatives taken from it and the bottom line is simple, eat less move more be watchful of what you eat, get up and keep on moving and the weight comes off, simples:D0 -
Thanks for that Victory.

Hiya
Well I've done only (ok) I think.
For breakfast I had my sweet cinnamon porridge, lunch was 2 x homemade Ham sarnies and for supper I had healthy homemade chicken stirfry and Vanilla Activia Yoghurt.
I went to work then had to go to T'co to get my food shopping. I was in there for 2 hours.
Since I have put the shopping away, I have have made a sausage Casserole and Tuna Pasta bake. My feet are aching soooo much.0 -
The people signing you in and meeting and greeting are volunteers from the group. They always looking for volunteers and often fairly new people will do it in order to have to go to the group and not be able to get out of it. So very likely to be overweight.
Can't explain the leader though...but it does work.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Well I've just got back from mine and have to say i'm sorry but I hated ever minute of it. I know that it's busy cos it's Jan, and cos of the Bella vouchers, and also I have to start by saying it wasn't the usual consultant apparently it was a sub cos she was ill.
However, it was truly dire.
At the new joiners table the consultant explained the plans really badly, hardly went into any detail about why you need the As and Bs, what you can have etc. Also offered no 'tips' - just read out how many syns is in chocolate and crisps to shock you, didn't offer ideas for low syn treats or anything. I tried being chatty and everyone just sat there with faces like smacked bums!
Then they went round the group and it was just 'you lost 1lb, how was your week' then everyone clapped and it went on for ages. And they did a raffle. There were loads of bits where people were just chatting among themselves and it was just a bit boring to be honest.
Their scales weighed me at 4lb more than I weighed at home this afternoon but I'm just going to ignore it cos i know where i am with my scales and I am never EVER going back!!! (they made me sign a membership form, but PLEASE someone confirm that I dont have to go back!!!!!!)
Sorry to be so negative, please don't let it put you off it was prob just my group i'm sure other ones are much better!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

You DON'T have to go back betty:D Honest!!
I think groups are dire at this time of year because of numbers and I always found my group rather tedious, and of course loads of new members mean the meeting is extra tedious and advice (due to questions) normally was around bought products from pasta sauces to fish fingers and crisps etc that I just don't really use and it took a while and persistance to get people chatting to me, so that it was fun to go and see 'friends' but I needed to go to keep me on track especially with the weigh in: didn't have you lot then! (or not when I started ). I found the WW meetings just as dull and left quicker... and hungrier.
But now you have the books:DI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
thanks BB - they were asking people for their holiday dates and saying you had to pay if you missed class and I was like 'uh oh' cos I aint going back no way no how!!
Yes, now i have the books I am very pleased, and I can do it properly but on my own, at home, with my usual Wednesday morning weigh-in and you lot for support!
I am just annoyed that I had to rush my work today and then sit bored for over an hour and a half!
(and just to be really rude and bichy, the class and helpers were a bunch of miserable cow bags!! Am i allowed to say that??!! Lol!!)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
