    Hi all, quick update!

My friend had a very old mobile - so I jumped at the chance at taking it from her hands. That's another £1 - not much, but still something!

Placed two more bets which settle on Saturday, of which I'm expected to make a loss of 84p and £1.16. They are two £25 bets, so I'm guessing I'll get at least £15 each. If that's the case, then I'll be £242.82 up! So around £257 away from my £500 target!

Just made about £8 on a £10 tote offer! I've emailed fixtheodds about their returns as I've read that some people suggest that by doing it manually, you get a better return - but apparently they filter out 'bad offers', so lets see what they say!

Not sure if this is a cheat but...............

have you checked pricing in Supermarket ( eg tescos). If something is wrongly priced you get your money back and keep the item. As long as you wanted the item, would the money back count?

Is that legal? If so, this would definitely count - the rules are simply the money cannot come from my salary (so it doesn't affect my usual day-to-day)

Quick update - According to fixtheodds, I have made £14.35 on my latest offer!!! Still waiting on one offer (Victor Chandler) to give me my promotional cash, but this is highly promising! Hopefully this will give me an extra £15 or so!

    £211.82 + £14.35 = £226.17

Sounds like it's going well! I'm up by £52.27 at the moment and I am too, waiting for the VC offer - hopefully I'll be up by over £60 by the end of the week.
  • Just a quick update - spoken to Victor Chandler and my free promo cash will come in tonight at 18:30, so I suspect if you haven't already, sony, yours will come around then! Just noticed that on fixtheodds they have added a few new offers - Bet24 and PaddyPower...

However I'm not too sure about these - as you have to 'roll over' before they give you the promo cash.. I get matched betting in a basic sense, such as they match £10 when you bet £10 as that's easy... Might do the VC one first and investigate further...

Still on £222.26, but will be up by quite a lot once I've done this VC offer!
  • Just to let you know, I've received my free VC bet, which I've placed with some German football team I've never heard of! But if that's what fixtheodds says, then that's what I do!

Match plays 21st November.. but I can't wait!! They said my profit is going to be £19, but let's wait and see :)
  • Quick update - it works!!!

Made £7.26 on the Skybet offer and £12.35 on the Ladbrokes offer!!! Just about to try BlueSquare, which sounds amazing - free £10 bet if you bet £5.

I may even join you on your Christmas challenge!!!!

My mate has done some matched betting, but I've never really asked him to explain how it works properly. I'd be interested in finding out more about it. I've had a look at this fixtheodds.com and looks interesting, but how easy is it in reality to make money?
  • It's fine as long as you follow every single instruction that they give you, word-for-word.

Expect to spend about half an hour the first time round just to find your feet, but after that - it's very straight forward. If you click on their demonstration page, they have a nice image which shows how it works.
  • Brilliant, thanks. I'm going to give it a go and will let you know how I get along. How much money do you reckon I can expect to make? Wouldn't mind a trip to Barbados. LOL!
