Just a quick update, still on £70 so struggling a bit here!
However I have a friend who run a research agency and I've put my name down with him to participate in a focus group (about mobile phones of all topics!) next week. If I get chosen that will be £50 in my pocket!:D:D Will update tomorrow when hopefully I will find out!

Hi all, just got the call for the focus group next week, so up to £120 now!
Unfortunately I won't be able to do another focus group for the next 6 months, so although lucrative, I won't be able to meet my challenge. With just £380 to go and a little over a month, I'm feeling confident!
Any other ideas on what I can do?0 -
Hi Atlantis, it was at aba-i.co.uk.
Just Googled 'one red paperclip' and oh my gosh!! Is that for real?! But you're right moneydad - we're too stingy in the UK!
Yes it is for real! An amazing story isn't it!
Ok, I've been doing some googling and have discovered quidco - use it if you're making a purchase anyway, then check to see if there's any cashback to be had.0 -
Good thread - I'm going to keep my eye on this one! Have you tried stoozing etc? Quidco is good, I'm going to start trying topcashback Have a look.0

Hi all,
Just a quick update, still on £120- although I've got my focus group tonight which will be a nice little earner!
Quidco looks promising - I remember from when it just started out as a new website, but I've never had the time to actually join. I'll consider it, depending on whether I know what to buy as Christmas presents!0 -
Focus group went well last night and got my £50 cash
However, I had a thought last night - I wonder if my quest for £500 will be looked with beady eyes by the Her Majesty's taxman!?0 -
Hmm.. has anyone tried matched betting? It's slowed down for me and I'm way behind target so I need to think of something to make up each day that I haven't made any money for!0

Hi all,
Sorry for the lack of an update! Still struggling - however the MSE tip off for the Debenhams £5 voucher was definitely a good shout!0 -

Ah, too bad! It is very admirable that you are so optimistic! £500 is a hard target!
I haven't tried matched betting, but have you looked at the MSE threads on it? It might help?
Also, try looking on Google, there might be some sites that can help you out?0 -
I did label it a challenge!
Thanks for the reply on matched betting. I've searched the MSE threads on matched betting (I assume you're referring to donglemouse's diary, etc?). It seems quite a lot to read, do and learn so I think I'll give this a miss0
