Preparing for a new arrival in 2011

Went to OHs sisters for his nieces haloween party yesterday which was quite good, loads of kids running around though! Good preperation for next year. Wasalso chatting to OH's Mum and she said she will get something for baby and my Mum has already said she will get travel system or something so good to know we won't need to pay for everything!

Today I am back home and have been food shopping and also sorted my aa membership as they sent me a pricy renewal. Got it for cheaper though and added OH which is good.

Not much to report on today moneywise except I was a bit naughty and bought myself some lunch at a nice cafe , really need to start taking my lunch in again. I also bought a couple of cakes at a charity bake sale at work.

I was back at work today, quite a busy day so went quite quick. Tomorrow I am at work half day as got midwife appointment in afternoon, hopefully get to hear babys heartbeat.

Went to midwife appointment and was really good. Everything is normal and got to hear babies heartbeat yay. She even said I have strong stomach muscles that will help ping me back to shape afterwards, hopefully anyway!!

Not much news moneywise but have been doing a few surveys.

I have had quite a constructive day today so far. Got my hair cut and then have been doing some cleaning. Have cleaned the bathroom, the kitchen and tidied lounge and hoovered. Just need to hoover hallway and bedroom and tidy bedroom. Will be nice to have a nice clean flat.

I ordered Beauty and The Beast with a amazon voucher which came today so will watch that later while doing my ironing, is my fave disnet film.

I got some nice clothes from h and m yesterday with my birthday money. Got a grey jumper dress, a stripey dress that goes over leggings, a leopard print cardy and some more leggings.

This weekend I think I am also going to try and start looking at Christmas pressies for people and do a few surveys as well.

I managed to do all the jobs I wanted to do yesterday which was good so having a chilled day today. Just been to sainsburys to get a few bits for dinner.

Really need to get organised for Christmas stuff or will have no money to pay for it. Would be good to start getting a few bits.Think OH and I are going to buy a new TV as a pressie to each other and just get each other a little something.

Also have noticed that I have been spending too much on my lunches at work and little bits of food here and there so need to make more of an effort to take lunch in.

Not much exciting to say really. Has been quite a busy work which has made it go quick so far.

Just been doing a quick assessment of my surveys sites that I do to see which ones I am close to payout on. The money would help towards the sofa and car insurance etc.

I have been thinking of some ideas for Christmas presents and was thinking I might do some hampers for OH's sisters with lots of little bits in like make - up etc. Will see what he thinks, I am usually left to do these things anyway.

My bump seems to have got a bit bigger, I wore my normal jeans today to work and they were too tight so matenity jeans from now on!

Well it is the weekend again! OH is working again poor thing but only today. I haven't done much just done some washing, the ironing and took the recycling out. Also been sorting through Christmas decorations. We are going to do a red, gold and silver theme. Got loads of gold ones from last year and my Mum rang up last night to say she bought me some silver and white ones bless her so need to look out for some red ones.

We are hopefully getting tree tomorrow as one we have is little and i want a bigger one! We need some new lights too.

Is mine and OH's 6 year anniversary of being together today so we are going to the local pub for dinner tonight which will be nice.

Dinner last night was really nice and then came back and watched the Take That documentary so was a nice evening.

Today had a nice lie in with OH and then we went to Homebase and got a nice Christmas tree, down to half price from £60 to £30. Looks quite real which is nice. We also got some lights half price and some red baubles.

Then we went to Currys and got our Christmas present to each other which was a new TV. We got a 40" HD one down to £379 from about £700 so a pretty good deal. We also got rid of our old TV there which was really old and has been from my sisters house at uni! We are just going to get each other a little pressie as something to actually open at Chistmas.

My money in savings will cover TV but will need to save more for sofas.

What a good idea to get something between you that you both want for Xmas. Glad you had a nice dinner last night as well.

I got up early to get a bit of shopping done this morning. I went to Boots and got some nappies and free changing bag with my vouchers, the nappies were only 76p as well because I had a £3 offvoucher so was definately a bargain. I also got a few bit for OH's sisters Christmas hampers. Got them some soap and glory and Ted bakers mini toiletries.

In Topshop they had loads of reduced jewellary and they had some really nice bracelet sets that were reduced from £12.50 to £3 so got one of those each for the hampers.

I got some little baskets in Wilkinsons which i am going to cover in wrapping paper to be the hampers. They were £2 for free so quite cheap. Also in Wilkinsons got some little diaries that were 80p each. Got some Tommee Tippee bibs as someone has recomended them to me as being good.

Was good to get a start to the Christmas shopping anyway!

I managed to redeem £30 from a survey site which i think I get in a cheque at some point, hopefully not too long.
