Woohoo I won the Grand National. Only £19.50 but better than nothing and made a £14.50 profit after our bets.0

Haven't done much again today. Took a walk to sainsburys and treated myself to a couple of magazines and some lunch with my winnings and then sat by the canal for a bit and read them in the sun.
Have come back and cleaned the bathroom. Will do some ironing this evening when it is a bit cooler.
Hope everyones having a lovely weekend.0 -
Still not much exciting going on here, guess that is the way when you are waiting for a baby to arrive! Only 9 days till the due date now anyway.
Went and joined the library this morning and got a couple of books out so hopefully that will help keep me entertained. Will be good to get some books to read to baby when she is here too.
Popped to sainsburys again this afternoon to get a couple of bits to make a curry tonight. Also been doing some cleaning, hoovered lounge and kitchen and cleaned kitchen floor.
My Mum is coming to visit for a couple of days tomorrow and wednesday which will be nice to have some company. My sister is off work tomorrow too so we will prob go for lunch.0 -

I know, so close and yet still feels like i will be pregnant forever lol.
My Mum came up this morning and we all went for lunch with my sister and oH too at the local veggie cafe. Was really nice, I had a spinach, feta and cashew crepe. Then we went on a walk up by the canal and went to sainsburys on the way back to get something for dinner. I managed to slip up on something in sainsburys and got a bit upset by the shock but the people who worked there were very nice and wrote it all down. Baby has been wriggling away this afternoon so think she is fine!
We got a reduced chinese meal from sainsburys so just cooking that now for dinner.
On £19 on OP now so doing well on there!0 -
Got my winnings in my account today from the Grand National yay. Not doing too bad moneywise, have two weeks left till payday and have a reasonable amount left and obviously haven't got much planned so should be ok. Hopefully if this baby comes in next week or so will be so busy we won't have time to spend money.
My Mum came food shopping with me today and managed not to go mad so that was good.
I have been putting all my pound coins and things in my hospital bag for the parking when we get there so hopefully we will have enough now, depends how long i am there though!0 -
Have managed a no spending day today yay. OH had to go to work this morning but only for a bit and then he came back and took me for lunch at harvester. Was really yum but i ate so much and have felt stuffed all afternoon. Was nice to get out the flat and do something though
Am over the halfway mark on OP now yay, hopefully will keep doing well on there.0 -
Morning anyone who is out there!
Well the plan for today is I am going to go on a walk this morning by the canal, hoping staying active will get things moving with this baby. Then going to pop to sainsburys on the way back and get some stuff to make pizza dough. Is quite good as can make quite a bit and then freeze balls which we can then just defrost and make a quick pizza which will be good when busy with baby.
Also need to get onto our electric company. Had a bit of a nightmare as they keep chasing me for some money from feb which i paid. When i have spoke to them they say it has been paid and they have put a stop on the chasing up but i still got it. Then i got a new bill through but hasn't been broken down and looks like is including this money they are chasing me for. Tried phoning them monday but no one rang me back so will be chasing up again today.0 -
Hey huni
Im out here, although these days im just a lurker instead of a poster.
If your little one goes overdue heres some things i tried and just 6 or so hours later i was in labour! I took a fast walk upto asda (5 minutes away) and bought some pineapple and some rasberry tea. Then a fast walk home where i ate the pineapple had a cup of rasberry tea and then bounced on my gym ball for half an hour while watching eastenders. Something worked for me out of those! lol, owen was 5 days late by the time he was born (although it was a 39 hour labour).
I hope when the time comes everything goes well and she doesnt keep you waiting and in pain for too long. Eat eat eat now! As when baby is here you wont even be hungry or think of eating as you will be too busy with baby or washing babies things etc.
Good luck xxxMake £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
