Ok... bluntly honest? I don't think the big fluffy skirt suits short wedding dresses... And the shape doesn't compliment you particularly well and if you have ANY doubt about a dress then don't let it "make do" because you can't change your wedding pitures!
Keep looking! and maybe look for a slightly less full skirt?
Is there a particular reason for the kneelength dress for the wedding? Call me old fashioned (or whatever you like...) but I think that "style" looks like a dress for a 16 year old... (OMG I'm only 30! honest!)
If you want a waist... go for a nice corsetted dressthey can perform minor miracles! (Mine did!)
Be a little brave and go in and say "I have a style in mind, but I'd like it if you could try a few dresses that YOU think might suit my shape?" - I walked in wanting a very medieval style dress, not strapless, very straight and NO underskirt and NO - absolutely NO bling or beading or stuff...
Yup - I REALLY stuck to that! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3432972&l=9664cf92d8&id=740875462

thanks Mrs tyne!
I want a short dress because i want to look NOTHING like i did first time round, and I really love the vintage look. The more short dresses i see, the more i love them.
The reason i like them puffy is because they're so girly and fun looking. I tried on others and they didn't give me the same buzz really.saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.

Yes! That one on the right with the pink underskirt would be gorgeous on you - show off the bust & nip in the waist! :T
Almost makes me want to change my decade of inspiration from 30s to 50s...
EDIT: replying to post 20, BTW - clearly I took far too long to respond, was too busy looking at pretty dresses...Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

LOL fair enough! In that case I think rockabilly is the way forward. Think underskirt under a skirt in the same material as the top part of the dress - that will make it look more vintage
I know this is a little longer but you could have one made a little shorter? http://www.stylemepretty.com/2008/08/07/real-wedding-in-a-stephanie-james-dress/

Gorgeous. However I think that you do need an Audrey Hepburn-esque figure to carry that style off well. Big busts don't tend to look quite right in them, IMO. I say this as a big-busted sister of an Audrey Hepburn-shaped person!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012
