If they have sent you an email to say you cannot use it, it will mean they have cancelled that gift card number so you would be refused at the till.
I think it's fair to say Debenhams will be reading this thread too as Martin brought attention to the offer and has been in contact with themComping wishlist for 2017

Re carrier bags:
When the jewellery is sold at Hospice Xmas Fair, Debenhams will get free advertising, as I'll re-use the bags. I have a lot.....
I could even put up a little sign 'jewellery from Debenhams'
Free advertising, in effect..... :snow_grin“Rain drops are not the ones who bring the clouds.”0 -

I suppose it's only fair that they pull it if people have been using the same e mail address. I won't deny that I used 5 ( and would have used 7 if two of them had arrived) but they were all to different genuine e mail addresses. I suppose we all need to accept that if the system is abused then it's going to get pulled. I don't mean to suggest that people shouldn't have done it, as the opportunity was there, just that some people seem to have gone ever so slightly over the top! £300 of items for £11, and a stash of over 40 items are always going to have people questioning other people's ethics.0

Went in Oxford Street, showing my phone, had a code sent to niece who forwarded it to me. Oh no, said the 3 SAs, you can't use this.
Waited 20 minutes whilst they "checked with a Manager", then came back, one of them keyed in the code, and said "it's been used". Put my £5.50 tin of ginger chocolate biscuits back on the shelf, and left, tail between my legs, hating my niece.
Went in Romford branch, got the biccies, showed my phone, SA glanced at it, keyed something in (not the number), asked for 50p which I gave him, he passed me my biccies in a bag and said "The till says I have to give you £4.50!!!!" :rotfl:
We both laughed and looked at each other, and I said "what shall we do" and then he said "If that's what the till says, then I'm gonna do it". Which he did. Then he said "that's done". I said "I don't want you to get into trouble" and he said "that's what the till says, and now it's clear".
So I got a tin of biccies worth £5.50 for nothing, and £4 back!!!! :j
God, I love MSE!!
