Well in my slightly longer than HHC, I put one load of washing on, hoovered the kitchen floor, and thoroughly cleaned the worktop (took everything off and wiped them all clean, and moved the microwave over so that I could clean under there - very dusty). It doesn't look like much, but it's made a big difference to how the kitchen looks already. At least now I can make myself some lunch on a clean and tidy worktop.

Sorry to hear that your sister is no better and has no answers pigpen - will continue to send positive and get better vibes her way.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Only just got up - my sleep pattern's still topsy turvy bed at 0600 then up at 1300 - sometimes I hate shift work!

    Today's list
    Washing
    HHI
    Tidy laundry room - it's a pit
    Washing up
    Go into town
    Cheque in bank
Go and see Nan and take her to hospital to see Gramps (he's been in for 11 weeks now with little change)
1st Zumba class @ 2000 (tried to go last week but had to get Gramps settled on a new ward so missed it)
    Off to declutter breakfast

    HHI at 2pm anyone?

    I'd rather be watching CSI!

Valli fingers crossed for your Mum's friend's daugher. Three parents at school have brain tumours at the moment. All very different and at the moment all very different prognosis. It is so sad.

Taking DS2&3 to the GP now, fortunately for not critical things.

Cake made so a slice of that and a cuppa upon my return.

My prayers are with all of these people...
My DH is recovering from having a brain tumour removed. Benign thankfully, but it's still left some damage.

Not much flying done this week, but no work now until Monday, so i will make a start - well after i declutter a kip :D

Does anyone else find trying to get their kids to housework much akin to banging your head against a wall, or is it just me?

I set myself up for this, I really did! The bigger they get, the more mess they produce. DD point blank refuses to tidy her own room which I try to trade off against doing the dusting for me instead. DS is just standing watching tv with a bin bag in his hand.

Just had a phone conversation with H, he suggested I concentrate on upstairs as he tidied downstairs this morning. My kids have been down here since 8 this morning, it does not look tidy!
