Ironing........what ironing.......................:]
Need food now....pasta in sauce cooking for me and DD and potatoes on for OH.....also getting quptes (through quidcoo) for pet insurance.......oh, and I have done the bathroom:)0 -
Kazw - It is difficult, I don't think I will ever be welcome at anything for my SSs because they are banned from ever mentioning my name in front of their mother in my capacity as 'husband stealing floozy' despite the actual facts . I wouldn't have the evil, psychotic, child neglecting, unsupportive cow in my house, but I will never, ever undermine the boys relationship with either of their parents. They have to love their mother, whatever her faults, and I need to take second place whatever the event. My DH does not always accept this!
TD on, animals fed, need to iron *yawns*. DS1 and I have made pitta bread in the kenwood and by hand - so we can decide which are best. I like practical science.
My mothers Fruit cake
150g SR Flour
150g mixed dried fruit
1 desertspoon syrup
1 egg, made up to 1/4 pint with skimmed milk
Mix it all together, scrape into small loaf tin and bake for 30 minutes at 180. Doesn't keep well, but was never much of an issue. Defeats the point if you then eat it with an equal sized slice of cheese like a good Lancashire Lass.

Afternoon
Hope everyone is well. I haven't had a chance to have a read as I've been out with DS in London today to fulfil his burning ambition to experience the DLR. That done I did 15 minutes in the bathroom which is pretty rubbish but, and this is quite grim, it's more than I would get round to in a normal week. I would instead leave it all until it was disgusting and spend all day breathing in horrible Flash fumes
. (This feels a bit "confessional", sorry I'm so minging!)

WooHoo schools out............:j:j:j
Had the head on the phone as more problems at school. Told her everything that has happened over the last 3 days and went over everything i've spoke to her before about. She thanked me for bringing it to her attention.:mad::mad::mad: I've been doing that for months.
All the bully's where brought in and she finally spoke to them. DD got very upset. Anyway they have made 4 girls playground helpers to make sure everyone is nice and everyone has someone to play with, DD will be one of the 4 for a week and then it will change about. I'm not sure how long it will last as it didn't last 2 days last year.
DD is going to the disco tonight and i've been promised that the staff will keep an eye on her. Mind you i did hear 1 of the girls in the shop saying she was going to tell her mum all, then she come round the corner and seen me standing there.:rotfl:
Fingers crossed everything calm's down for awhile until i can get her moved. I still think it's the best thing to do, i even said to the head but she just carried on about the bullying and how it would stop from today on.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Crikey the day has done away wih my timing. I am only just about to begin on the bathroom and toilets. It'll have to be a quick tidy and wipe (true flylady today haha) and then off the the kitchen to begin the culinary delight that will be fish pie.Save £1000 in a year... £19.28/£1000Miche0

- Organise the car paperwork into a file of its own! Already in one
- Organise house paperwork into a file.. insurance docs/warranties etc Already sorted
- Do a mini-job you have been putting off forever.. an email or letter or whatever! Archived October 2009 CAMRA NBSS scores; this gets me ahead, as I have to prepare the spreadsheet to send to the pubs officer this weekend. Also sent an email I've been prevaricating about saying I can't do a task someone wanted this weekend (I'm one of those who finds it hard to say No).
Msgnomey I've snaffled that fatless lemon cake recipe, thanks. It sounds lovely! Just have to find enough spoons to be able to make it now!:D
Kazw (((HUGS))) Family dynamics can be difficult; Mr LW has 2 sisters, one of whom I've only met once (at our wedding), and the other I've never met, because she's convinced herself he's found himself another version of QBOTU (translation on request) so refuses to have anything to do with me. *rolleyes*
Piggers paws firmly crossed that your Sis doesn't have lupus, MS or anything of that ilk.
Valli benign-and-operable vibes on way, as requested.
Maxonian healing vibes for your DH.
Mr LW is working from home tomorrow, so it remains to be seen what I manage to get done; he's finishing at 14:30, we have some errands to do in town and a wee Morries shop, then he and his pal are going to the MK Beer Festival - I'll be going along to drive the pair of them home..... Again!!:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW I've got one in the oven now
Although it was a bit of a faff as one of my lemons had 30 pips in! Going to see how this turns out then might try one with Splenda...
ETA oooh MK beer festival - is it still on on Saturday? So, there are these boys,
They kinda stole my heart,
They call me Mummy

vanilla ((Hugs))
Kaz ((hugs)) not good when they take something like that badly, you seem to have accepted the way it will be and I am sure he's thought carefully about it (like you said you wouldn't want to be in the room with his ex) hopefully your DH will come round soon. I know what Pigpen is saying but after having a very volatile relationship with my WIL I wouldn't be upset if I didn't have to attend anything she was going to.
Valli will be thinking of her, what a horrible diagnosis for her to have to cope with. Lets hope for a positive outcome.
Pigpen hope your sister gets some answers from the neurologist soon & hope she is better soon
Doozergirl mine aren't the best of help but if they refused to do any of it they would be told they no longer have a room!
We've had a good few days in London, a few little hiccups like DS1 trying to jump off the tube at every stop, DS2 refusing to use down escalators so I now have sore ankles from LOTS of stairs, being unable to access our travel lodge as some pillock had driven into a fuel pump etc but DS1 loved Lego land even if we got soaked and DS2, well this picture says it all http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=15645625&l=ac5e1aedf2&id=524760485 I actually found out about the place through this site (Pink Fairy? If anyone remembers her) and it was a wonderful day. I openly admit cacking my pants when she mouthed my hand then turned to face me nose to nose! Her name is Duma, a 12 year old wolf. DS2 actually asked the handler 'Am I dreaming are you real?' which I think puts how he felt into a few wordsThe travel and accomodation worked out around £180 and we got £130 towards costs from Merlin's magic wand so realistically speaking we MIGHT be able to do it again if we can get their help. Used Tesco vouchers I managed to get from someone for the river cruise which was actually much better than I thought it would be as the 'city cruises' guide was absolutely hilarious! JillD helped with cheaper places to eat, was lovely when we got stuck too thanks honey, we did have one very expensive meal out at 'Jimmy Spices' in Epsom with our friend who lives there for now but it was lovely!
Today I've popped to the coop, done 3 washer loads, filled the DW and not much else because I'm shattered. I still need to make tea, sort some washer/dryer loads out. None physical stuff I've spent a very long time, actually quite draining, working out how to repay our overspends from the last few months (on interest free cards) I've paid off the high interest one we used in London before the bill has come in which is a relief. I need to keep to my 'pay noone interest' new years resolution for just another 2 months!!! I've never stuck to one for this long before
Right, tea to make, few washing switches then an early night me thinks *yawn* DS2 is in mehmehmeh mood ....the noise he makes when tired! One day I might be more organised...........
