Allders liquidation [merged threads]

Firstly ... sorry if this has already been posted .... tried the search and nothing came up!

Allders in Bromley (kent) are closing down .... this I know for sure. But! I saw an ad on telly earlier and it seems this is a nationwide thing ..... it stated up to 70% off everything:eek:

Ok .... just done a quick search on the Allders website and they have gone into administration .... and the sales have already started!

Went into the Leeds City Centre Alders today (well, yesterday)......what a con...hardly anything reduced...felt like asking them to show me just one thing that was 70% off :mad:

Is that one of the stores closing down? Or is it one with a biggest ever blue cross sale?

I only know that the bromley store is actually closing .... maybe other MSE'ers know of the other stores that are actually closing down:)

Was thinking of popping in there .... :rolleyes:

awwww .... no fair they were floating .... little beggers blocked the grand Canal :eek: all lined up in a nice line .... they were complaining about not having enough jobs ... OH offered them well over the normal rate and they syill said NO :mad:

Anyway .... lets hope the prices do go down .... but they may just shift the good stuff to the stores that have been purchased already to remain as Allders!

reading one is closing down but the sale was utter crap.......went to the one clapham and rubbish too.......cheaper elsewhere

same at chichester store also - tho the irons had 50% off..

Went in yesterday, lots of stuff reduced, thought about it and left without anything.

Went in again today at lunch , same stuff, another 40% off !!!!

Bought 3 Ladies Coats, coat for my daughter, 4 mens shirts and a pair of suit trousers for my partner, total came to about £150.

the 40% extra applies to items already with a reduced tag. From what I could see applied to Womens coats, some childrens clothes and Mens shirts, trousers, suits.
