Ouch. Are you ok? How is your back? Also, probably not what you want to hear, but have you thought you might need to replace the car seat in case it has a hairline crack in it. Glad the baby is ok. Probably a good job you didn't have a papousse on. You must have had a big shock.
I also missed the big overpayment. Congratulations on that and your DD1s glowing school report.0 -
Thanks michelle. Hmmnnn you may be right about car seat.
I'm fine - normally I would have had him in a sling, but it was raining and so left him in the car seat. Was wearing leather-soled flipflops since puppy had eaten my flipflops...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Well just take it easy hon, don't want you to find your back troubling you again.
I think I would judge it on how hard you feel the car seat fell on the floor, but I think the advice is to replace if there is any chance they are damaged. I probably would if it were me.0 -
It fell about a foot.
I have lit the fire, it's grim here today. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
It's not cold here but really chucked it down all day. We get the odd burst of sun. All my extra insulation in the cavity walls has certainly earned its keep already. It is still 24 degrees in here.0

Goodness. I am desperately wary of cavity wall insulation, after reading Jeff Howell's writing on damp.
Sounds like they work, though. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
We had damp before it was done, and it is no worse. Only in one room though strangely. It has made a difference to us, especially with the new combi boiler too.0

Sounds like your house was in a similar state to ours when we bought it.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

OOh house value has increased 4k (by the measure we use) and LTV has dropped. Yay.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Ouch at the fall, really hope you are both okay. Good news on LTV. I might double check the selling prices of houses on my road to see what mine would be valued at (I am assuming that is what the building societies use).June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
