Ooooh I forgot all about my Debenhams voucher! Off to have a nosey to see what I can get with it now!
I think it's brilliant that you've managed to get £15's worth of stuff for £3! I got OH's brother's present from Boots when it was staff double discount day and 3 for 2 but I'm not counting the savings as he's got a present worth £25!
I think your incentive plan is a good one Dinah, forgot to mention it before! Quite a nice idea to mix up paying off debts then saving up for treats so at least you're working towards nice things all the time, it'll seem less like a chore!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Well it took less than 24hours for that plan to be scuppered! For the 3rd day in a row the trains home were cancelled, so we're going to repair the Alfa we currently own, and NIM is going to drive that. The train was a nice fantasy, but when it's been unreliable a minimum of 5 journeys out of 10 every week since he started, we need him to be more reliable about getting to work on time.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

New goals then!
HSBC CC1 + Next (Around £4600 total) we go to Rome for NIMs rugby match (only if cleared before end of Jan)
HSBC CC2 + OD + BSH = £4900 = We book New York
Loans = £10000 = We book Japan
All cleared! = SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO PUT HERE?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Babies!
In all seriousness though, it sounds like a great way to keep motivated. How long do you reckon it will take to do each stage?
What a pain about the trains though. How's your ebaying going? Glass of wine for company I hopeLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Is there anywhere else you really want to visit before having a family? Or how about something you would really like for house but isn't essential.
Trains sound like a nightmare, glad mine are a bit more reliable.
Birdie and anyone else who makes hampers, where do you get the baskets or hampers from that you put the things in?0 -
Wendz, I just use big cardboard boxes and decorate them... but I work in a warehouse and have access to an abundance of boxes in every shape and size! I cut them down so they're quite shallow and make the front lower than the back IYKWIM so it looks like a nice display and not just like stuff's been thrown into a box! Stuff the bottom with newspaper, make a pretty top layer with tissue paper or shredded paper and you're done! I'm too tight to buy baskets...
I've decided that I'm going to make a towel cake for OH this year. I always do something hampery for him, I've done Mexican, Rugby and Star Trek themes in the past. This year all he wants are posh toiletries and underwear so I'm going to make a cake out of towels (there's a thread in the Special Occassions board) and stuff it with shower gel, aftershave, hair gel, razors etc. It at least makes a boring present more fun!
Ooooh and I've got an interview! I found out who the manager of the job that I wanted most out of the 3 that I applied for was and e-mailed him to ask for some feedback on my application and he replied that my CV was interesting and wants to interview me! It's Wednesday morning... oooooh! I'm excited but scared! Said something in his e-mail about considering about what I would become in the role rather than what I need to get the role which has me thinking now! Luckily I've got enough prep time to think about it and come up with a good answer!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I thought the same thing straight away too! Must be a signOr just add another country you want to go to. Irritating about the trains, I had the same problem when I was trying to get to my school placement. There's only so many times you can be late before looking really unprofessional - even if it's not your fault!
Birdie I don't think it's too lazy/bad to do hampers again Birdie, especially if they went down well last time. How's everything going with the mental bride? She sounds like a nightmare!
Wendz, I properly struggle to find cheap hampers so I just fill big gift bags - it doesn't look anywhere near as good but you get to dig through - it's like a lucky dip!
Cinny, your poor OH, I'd feel the same. Are his family preoccupied with something at the mo that would mean their heads are a bit all over the place? Or are they just being mean? How old is your OH? (Not that that should a difference!)
Tete I've been thinking about you, I hope you're ok. You sound like you're doing brilliantly, I so admire you! Good idea to treat yourself but not go mad. Are you carrying on with your sewing/baking or is that on hold at the moment? I'm after a fool-proof, moist banana cake recipe - anyone got any recommendations? I have tons of black bananas
I need some opinions also please ladies - I'm going to a fifties style wedding reception and I need a dress. I have found these two but don't know which one to go for. I quite like dress two but think it might be a bit gothic rather than fifties!

Ooooh and I've got an interview!
Well done! :T I hope you get it, sounds interesting what the manager said! At least you have some time to prepare too - I hate it when you get an interview for like the next day!
