Mmm, but steak for dinner sounds so much better than a ham sandwich!!
All Irish people I know bang on and on about Taytos and I think they're just the same as Walkers = horrible! *ducks*
Ah thanks for thinking of me Dinah, I have my cats though and appreciate not everyone would want to live with them. It would be nice to have my own place if I can possibly do it.

I really love Bowland's Jam Mallows, I think they're Irish? I searched for them for YEARS after having them as a kid, turns out the discount shop in my village sells them. Yum

I knew about the chocolate kimberlys, although they took the sugar odd the mallow for that. Isnt it Jacobs make them, kimberlys and micado? Thought they were two different biscuits, ever liked the micado cause I dinnae like coconut.
And will yougoway with your sausages and barrys, you've got me humming the fields of athenry to myself now, and D's gonna be unhappy cause the irish accent is coing back strong so I'm told. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
I think we're a long way past where you think we are Cinny! We have £0 spending money most months, last month was £0 food as well, which obviously isn't do able. Being realistic though we do usually end up spending about £180 a month on food

Well you must have the money some where, otherwise you wouldn't be able to spend it. If I'm completely honest, and I don't mean to come across as b*tchy but I find it really shocking you're in such a rut but spent £60 on one meal the other night. If it came down to it, I'm sure you could make £60 last you the whole month. Actually, if you were up for the challenge there's this website run by some people on this forum. It's to feed a family of 4 for a month on £100, but say £60 for two. But obviously, that's only if you have the time. Or you could just use some of the recipes and do your own meal plan. Anyways, it's just a thought.
Birdie - I don't think I'd much use, I'm too much of a people pleaser! 'Well, if you really want the steaks I guess it's a good price' I kick butt with OH though when we're shopping, I just swing around and go 'reeeallyyy??' and he puts stuff back on my weeks. When it's his turn to control the shopping it's pretty much anything goes, so I have to rake it back when it's my turn!0 -
The £60 was our entire 'spends' budget for the month
I thought it would come to about £25 I nearly had a stroke when NIM said £58! We get the money from extra income earners, mystery shopping, ebay, amazon etc. These are what keep us afloat. They really should be paying off the debt though.
Time is definately not something we have atm, we made an agreement that the business is our priority, and given we have about 3 hours at home on an evening food is quick and easy (pasta, stir fries, bang some meat and potatoes in the oven etc) to give me time to reply to emails, source new outlets etc.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It's a bit worrying that 'extra' money is keeping you afloat, it shouldn't really be relied upon as an expected income since you never know when it'll dry up (thinking ebay blocking your sellers account!). Hope the business starts making you money soon and the money stresses ease up a bit!
Will things be better financially once you've had your holidays?
Have ebay unblocked you from selling now?
ETA: I hate it when you get stung in restaurants! It happened the last time I went out for tea with my girlfriends, we thought it'd be about £25 a head... it was £45 a head! I nearly cried as I handed over my card as that was all my spare money for the month! It was yummy though...
