CMD, sorry for prying but how do you have £ on a BOI card?
Did you convert from € or have I missed something major? This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

Think you've hit the nail on the head there. OH and I are not doing anything more extravagent than this time last year but it is costing us more therefore less money to throw at debts.
To be honest at the minute I am just glad that we can afford to meet all our minimum repayments - really wish it could be more though.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
We're going to attempt to get a 0% card for some of the debt, probably be refused but paying over £100 a month in interest drives me mad.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Does anyone have a cunning plan for getting out of their debt rut? I keep saying to NIM 'if we could just'. But we can never 'just', and it's breaking the back of it that's proving impossible. Our loan finishes in November so that'll free up another £240 a month, but at this rate we won't be able to snowball it as we'll just need it to live on.
Wanted to get some heavy duty ebaying done tonight but have to go to parents so NIM can speak to my dad about a jobDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

We use it (obviously a bit too much) when we go home to Ireland. It is an Irish one. We also used it on holidays as Portugal is a eurozone and that is why the balance has gone up on it.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I think you've got it right about the cost of living. When OH was off work and was just getting insurance money instead of a wage and was actually bringing home about £200 less than he should have we were going out for dinner once or twice a week, going to the cinema, I could afford clothes and shoes and make-up, we went on holiday which was paid off straight away, no scraping around for money to pay it off or anything... now we're both bringing home more money, not going out, not buying anything and we're skint!
Good luck getting the card Dinah!
ETA: No fancy plans for getting out of the rut here! I'm going to sit it out and regroup in October, see what we've got spare!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

NoTo be honest at the minute I dont really see that theres a lot we can do other than keep plodding along. OH is doing overtime when he can, but 6 days a week is enough for anyone I think!!
I would love to get a balance transfer but know that thers not even any point in applying as we wont get one.
I wanted all the debt cleared by Christmas but the way things are at the minute I would be over the moon if we could clear just the HSBC CC.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

No cunning plan unfortunately. If I lived with my parents for a few months I would be able to probably pay off another credit card but it wouldn't get rid of the full amount of debt.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I've been unclear, but you;ve answered my question I think.
You send in euro on it but converted the balance to £. I thought you were banking with BOI over here. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0
