Another one for the 'debt isn't going anywhere and I'm fed up with money' club. Not a catchy title but Im actually getting quite stroppy about it atm!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Jealous :rotfl:
I'm really stressing about money at the minute, and as you may of noticed the debts just seem to be standing still. Feel like we're stuck in a bit of a rut moneywise at the minute. Doesnt help that Tax Credits mucked up our payments and we havent had any for 4 weeks.
I feel very similar too Flower - at a complete standstill with debt repayment. If I could get rid of the Virgin credit card and OH's credit card before September I would be happy but don't see it happening.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Morning all,
Payday for me today! Got paid more than I thought I would so put the extra in my savings. Will have to have a look at my payslip when it comes, the whole maternity pay thing confuses me!
Paid my Mum yesterday towards the cottage we are staying in August in the lake district.
This shred lady sounds scary. I really should do some exersise and get rid of my extra baby weight but feeling a bit lazy still hehe.
Enjoy Poppy and don't worry about losing the weight Wendz. Have a lovely summer and maybe think about it then. Do you have much to lose?
Great news that you got paid more than expected! I am only entitled to maternity allowance so it won't be much at all.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I haven't got too much to lose, about a stone to get to where i was pre pregnancy but would like to lose a little more. Seem to be slowly going down anyway at the moment, partly due to the fact I am too busy to eat half the time and I have stopped buying crisps and things for the flat.0

Honestly Flower, if I could share to make things easier for you I would! I have a feeling all that £650 will be eaten up quickly with OH's car, we know it needs all it's tires replacing and no doubt the MOT will chuck up some other things.
Hope the tax credits get sorted out for you. Will you get a back log kind of payment? I have no idea how they work!
Like I said we've been in a rut for months, since about November we've barely been making things click from payday to payday. A lot of our extra money this month has been from OH knowing his horses and spinning some pocket change on his days off.
I second CMD though Wendz, enjoy Poppy for now and the weight can erm, waitSaying that, if you get the odd 30 minutes you could always do it. If you don't have the DVD I'm sure I've seen the levels on youtube before. Something's better than nothing. Although I'm sure if you get 30 minutes there's a million other things you need/want to do!

We should do but I'm not holding my breath though! They honeslty make things so complicated and difficult, I can see why people dont bother applying. We really cant afford not to have it though, especially when the baby is here we will be enititled to Child Tax Credits at around £40 per week and we cant afford to say no to that so just have to put up with them being completely useless!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I have stopped buying crisps and things for the flat.
That's the thing isn't it? If it's not there you can't eat it! I've been eating like a horse in the run up to the weekend saying that I'd be using all the calories upNeed to get out of the habit now though!
Perservere with those tax credits, that's a lot of money!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I'm another one in the money rut! It is so frustrating, I'm trying to get my debts down but I'm always scratting around for money at the end of the month as it is (and I've cut down massively on spending) so I'm barely paying more than the minimum payments off. I'm hoping that once we get back from our honeymoon we can afford to have a little more leeway with our 'personal' money so I can throw more at the credit card, but I'll still be skint at the end of the month! I hate even going into town on a Saturday morning now because I can't go into any shops as I can't afford to buy nice things and I can't go for a coffee or some lunch because it's cheaper to eat at home... it's just sooooo not fun!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

I think people are stuggling so much because the cost of living has gone up so much. I find it laughable that myself and OH would be seen to be on good money and in good careers but yet (even without debt) we wouldn't have much to put aside.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
