    LOL! Agreed!

It's just because we both tend to think and say things that really needn't be said! :rotfl:

ETA: Tete, my Mum used to be the same with my car, every time we'd go out she'd say, 'Lets take your car, it's soooo cheap to run'... yeah, because I have to pay for it!

I'd be annoyed at that too Tete. In my family we all borrow each others cars, but we have an unspoken PAYG rule.

Oh lordy, I didn't know it was quite that bad you were relying on the extra income so heavily Dinah :( Totally get why my 'every penny' budget plan wouldn't work now. It seems such a shame you've come so far from having that massive debt all those years ago, and now it's like you're back where you started. Like Birdie said, I really hope the new company brings good money in for you.

Where is it you get your hair cut? Couldn't you go too a beauty college, then you might have enough change from that for the razors. I know Asda have the Venus ones on rollback to £2. And Primark do pretty decent (and, I don't mind saying, friggen CUTE) undies for sometimes 50p each. Normally around the £1 mark, but I find they wear a lot better than La Senza ones.

Its only £15 where I get it cut, the students are £10. I know a fiver is a fiver but my lady used to be senior stylist at saks till she decided to work out of her own conservatory so I know she knows what shes doing.

I think maybe it's venus I use? Its the wilkinson sword one, a 4 pack of replacement blades is usually about £7. Undies are fancy Tesco 5 pairs for £3 jobbies! I cant remember the last time I bought nice undies. Actually I can, it was my wedding.

I don't feel like we're back where we started, as the debt is about half the old level, we're just not making any headway really. Maybe I don't feel so bad as I'm focussed on the company, long term I'm rellying on it to pull us out.

Wow that's not bad for a haircut mine was £68 last time I went, I had a full head of highlights to lift it rather than my usual half head but still, I nearly had a coronary at the till! And this is at a little granny salon in the village!

Ugh, money woes continue. Got my insurance renewal through, it had gone up from £303 last year to £420 ... but they still have ex-OH on there, been on Confused all night playing about with different things WITHOUT him and the cheapest I can get is £503, and that's with a £450 excess!! Tried putting Dad on but since he's not working any more it makes no difference - he must be a doddery old fool now obviously, despite the fact he's never claimed in about 40-odd years of driving :( I thought I was doing well putting £50 aside every month for car costs but it feels futile at the moment, it's just money money money hand over fist all the time! :( Gah.

Gosh, this money talk is depressing! :D I probably have mentioned it, in which case sorry, but me and OH have realised we have £10k saved between us for a house deposit so we're chuffed! (even though it's not really enough but it's a chunk!) Gonna start looking for somewhere to rent soonish so I'll be joining in your 'I'm-really-skint' talk then :(

In other news, I have passed my degree with a 2:1 and am SO PLEASED! :D:D

Birdie, your 'friends' are unbelievable!

Cinny pretty much explained it but a Green Monster is a smoothie with spinach basically! I've been doing mine with ice, yoghurt, dash of milk, spinach, a pear, a kiwi, a small banana, and flaxseed. It fills me up for ages! Have I missed when the Shrallenge is starting?
    Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675
    House Deposit Savings : £8,600/£25,000

I hadn't heard. That's fantastic!! :j:j And a massive congrats on passing, you must be so amazingly pleased, not to mention relieved! The Shrallenge starts Friday, from what I've gathered?

£68? I remember I went to Toni and Guy when I was 13 and it cost £140! It's £10 every 3 months now, I get OH to clipper the short sides in between. *cheapskate*

That's annoying about your insurance, Tete! I was doing that the other day with the Mini. Adding different people, changing small bits. Turns out, it's all stupidly expensive. But what can you do?

Venus is Gillette, the only Wilkinsons one I can think of off the top of my head is quattro? With the pink handle? I think those were reduced to £3. And yes, it worries me I know prices of things so easily :o

Anyways, best get to bed a little early as I'm working all tomorrow. Zzz!

I'm hugely relieved! I cried my eyes out :o So didn't expect it!

I'm getting my hair cut ready for graduation - £43. Not too happy that it's costing that much but I get my hair cut once a year at the most, and it is for a special occasion. £140 is insane Cinny! Was that a colour as well?

Ah yes, the Shrallenge on the 1st of July - makes sense! I hope I'm off by then (sorry, TMI!) Feel like a right fat, mardy moo at the mo. I made a cake today (as we haven't started the Shrallenge yet! :D) and I'm disappointed. I hate that. It was a golden syrup cake but it's a bit bland. Rubbish.

Cinny I meant to say, sounds like the cleaning business is doing really well already! I'm so pleased! :)

Dinah, you and NIM are so positive and strong that I know it won't be long til your money situation is much more manageable and you feel better about it. It probably doesn't help that you are stressing about the business - stress leaks to all areas of your (ones?) life I think and makes it harder to manage things that you'd otherwise find easy. Does that make sense?! :o Did you get hold of ebay about the ban?

That so irritates me when people borrow your car cuz it's 'cheaper' - yeah, for you! Another thing that annoys me is the fact that there is room for 3 cars on OH's drive, but there are 4 cars in the household. Ours is always the one on the road, even if we get home early and get a space actually on the drive, when the other person gets home we have to move our car so there's can go on. Fair enough, their car is worth a couple more grand than ours, but I still begrudge having to move mine just so their car isn't on the road!

I'm going to Bicester Village tomorrow for the first time ever! Hopefully I wont spend [STRIKE]anything[/STRIKE] too much! :D

Yep, the £140 was for a colour too. And they brewed me (not sure that's the right word..) my own special shampoo. It was fun, but crazy overpriced.

Hope you have fun in Bicester Village, Zig! I always hear people go on about it but I don't really know what on earth it is. I just think of Lakeside Outlet in Doncaster, but I can imagine Bicester Village is a lot classier!

OH's payday so it's the money shuffle! He's still in bed, and think he will be until I go out so I've left him a list of what he's paying for. I've managed to put about 70% of my bill money to one side for next month so I can stop stressing where the money's going to fall from. I normally let it build up week to week but my Office wage is teeny tiny now! Best scooch my booch and go get ready really!
