That's your first post of the day as far as I can see Dinah!
Yeah the £75 isn't too bad, just hope it fixes it!
One thing I'm looking forward to living on my own is choosing my own food, being able to be as [STRIKE]frugal[/STRIKE] inventive as I want!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Ooh yes would love to see the recipe for HM wedges Cinny
I am trying to cut back a bit more as since OH has been in a better paid job we seem to just be frittering the money away rather than more actually being paid off the debts! Our shopping bill seems to creep up by a few pounds every week as well.
I know we can do it for cheaper because we had to when OH had a 7 week gap between changing jobs - we had no money and still managed to eat well!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I think that when you have that extra cash cushion you get a bit lazy, I know we do! We realy need to sort out our meals too, because I'm going home on a lunchtime to eat with OH he makes some massive meals as it is our main meal together, sometimes with odd combinations, I don't like to sound tight but I can't help but think 'that's two meals worth!' sometimes, but he looks so pleased with himself I haven't got the heart to make negative comments! I'm just trying to gently nudge him in the direction of lighter meals 'for my health'.
Looks like your post got lost Dinah!
I've been making a list of things to do this weekend, including painting the bedroom... I wonder how co-operative OH will be?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Can't see any other post from you today Dinah!
Sometimes I wish I lived on my own Tete, I suggested Gammon slowcooked with cherry coke to OH one night and he looked like I'd asked him to try human flesh! One night I made us jacket potatoes, with beans, crispy bacon and roasted onions. All the time I was cooking he was saying 'What kind of fool puts roast onions with beans?!' I'm just like, seriously. What did your Mother feed you on?
Do you think you'll be moving out soon then?
With the cheese, that's the 2 brands we tend to buy! We've got a littlequitelarge 'cheese tub' in our fridge, filled with babybels, dairylea and cheese strings
The wedges are easy. Either use one big potato or two small ones per person. Cut them into chunks, then make a paste using a 1 and a spot tbsp veg oil, 1tbsp plain flour, 1tsp onion granuals, 1tsp garlic granuals and a dash of chilli powder. Mix it into the potatoes until they're all covered then cook at 200deg for 30 minutes. They be lovely0 -

Sounds like Dinah's got gremlins alright!
Mmm they do sound good Cinny! Yeah I'm going to start properly looking now/soon - got a bit of money saved up now for deposit etc. It's just upsetting you know, this time last year I was looking for a place to move in with my boyfriend, never imagined I's be in this position a year down the line, it's !!!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Right it did, no quoting for me then!
Cinny, will you not miss the extra money? You've been saying recently how tight things are. Can you get tax credits or not until you're 25? I'd be terrified if we didn't have a way to cover a £75 car bill, we got a suprise £600 last year and it scared me enough we didn't have savings to cover it. Can't wait for the day.
List last night, managed part of most tasts is the brief answer!
