Your list of horrors freaked the bejeezus out of me last night Dinah! I've been feeling really nauseous for the last 2 weeks and it comes in waves which has been getting gradually worse so I got myself all worked up thinking it might be Something so took a test last night. Negative thank goodness! All I kept thinking was, 'I won't be able to go on any rides and I'll be too fat to enjoy myself on my honeymoon!' Clearly we're not *quite* ready! Needless to say I wasted last night, half of it spent worrying about taking the test and the other half calming down! And OH had used the last of the bottle of wine in the fridge for cooking so I couldn't even have a drink!

I blogged about my Royal Wedding Cake yesterday (good thing about being back at work, time to draft blog posts!), whaddya think?!

I love the cake. You are very talented!

I'm glad it was just a scare for you last night. You want to enjoy your honeymoon properly I'm sure!

Morning people - hope everyone is well! Yeah pregnancy and childbirth is pretty grim but you figure that millions of women have babies, nay have more than one baby, so it must be worth it! And you get grimness anywhere in life, look at manky toenail which still hasn't fallen off :D

I've been all babied out the last few days - Isabella pulled chunks of my hair out and William whacked me in the face with a rattle, and both pooped while they were sitting on my knee ... I don't think I'm quite ready yet!!

I enjoyed the wedding I have to say and I do quite like Kate but I'm with Dinah, she played it so safe with that dress! Everyone's banging on about what a style icon she is/is going to be but I find her quite conservative all round. I was expecting something a bit slinkier, though I suppose you might need something with a bit more 'presence' if you're getting married in Westminster Abbey. The lace sleeves reminded me of Mam's wedding dress from 1981, not of Grace Kelly.

Lara hope you're OK after the riots - sounds scary!! Speaking of boobs, I got measured last week - oh my god it's a revelation!!!! Spent £80 on bras but they've made me so happy! Especially the sports one!

I defo don't think she is a style icon but couldn't have seen her in anything else but that dress. If I wasn't married it defo wouldn't influence my choice of dress but I thought she looked sensational.

Where did you get measured Tete? If it's a revelation I may have to go! I got measured for my wedding bra and she had me as a 30DD - which causes pain when I breathe its so tight around the ribs, so I think I might need a second opinion.

I'll check the blog this evening Birdie - work blocks the blogs so while text comes through there are no pictures and the formatting is nasty.

I'm kind of talking myself out of babies with the scare stories, for quite a few months now I've felt dissapointed everytime TOTM turns up - even though we're not trying and I still have an implant, maybe I should pay more attention to that feeling and less to the rational head trying to tell me to wait till we have more money - the actual pregnancy fears aren't going to go away if I get older, in fact the issues my mum had are more likely to be a major issue the more time I let pass.

Website is due to launch mid-June - very exciting stuff! Going to chase the designer some more this evening, and reitterate what I'm wanting from her.

It sounds like a bit of a phobia now.

Remember - you don't have to have babies. It isn't for everyone and there is always the option of adoption too.

It was at Debenhams, I went up a cup and down two back sizes - they felt tight at first but now they just feel structured and supportive. There's a really interesting thread here - there's a bra fitter on there (Blue Monkey I think) and she gives some interesting tips - if a bra fits in such and such a way then it's too small/big etc. A bra fitter should never go near you with a measuring tape apparently, and avoid M&S and La Senza!

I don't really think she's a style icon either, maybe a Sloaney Icon! But I suppose she's doomed to forever wearing sensible length skirts and high necked tops now that she's our future Queen. She did look lovely in her blue engagement dress though, how I wish I was that slim! I had expected something slinky originally too but the big dress really was needed IMO, like Tete said, you need something with presence in the Abbey! So I was surprised by the dress choice, but nicely so!

I think OH has aged about 5 years since Monday night when I told him I was worried... poor thing. When I told him about my honeymoon fears he said, 'We'd still go... I'll just go on the rides alone and you can wait for me at the exit!' How nice!

ETA: I got fitted for my wedding bra at this little independent shop where she did it by look and feel, ended up in a C which I never thought I would but it's actually soooo comfy. Happy new bras Tete! Sorry that the not-manky-toenail is still hanging on!

I think you have to remember she's part of the Royal family now so has to be quite conservative in her dress. I think she always looks gorgeous, and is more a style icon in the ways of looking flawless, put together and classy than pushing boundaries. I mean, look at the Princesses. They were clearly trying to make a statement with their clothes, but because they're Royals they didn't quite pull it off. Put their head dresses on Lady GaGa and yes, everyone would have loved them. It's like comparing Olivia Palermo to Lady GaGa, they're both style icons but for very, very different looks.

Dinah - I think the feeling for the crimson wave says a lot. Ooh, I said that classily! :o

Haha, sorry but the wording there brought to mind Joey on Friends and his pervy tailor!

Oh god Cinny those two looked like a pair of dogs dinners, they always do! It's not their fault they look exactly like their dad but as my Granny said, that hat was like a pair of antlers! I still think Kate could be a bit less 'knee skirt and jacket' conservative than she is, royalty or not, she is only 29!
