OH totally does not 'get it' ('but what does it do???')

Hmm, could say the same about certain of his posessions!! Well done on getting it done though, it's amazing how much we put things off and off and then they're so quick and easy to do! Can't wait to see it, get your blog started!

Well done on the sales Dinah and the clutter clearance, have you more stuff waiting in the wings to be listed?

Portugal being in the news this morning reminded me that someone somewhere was asking about Alvor - was it CMD on here? I went with my parents about 14 years ago (OMG! Time really flies the older you get doesn't it?) and it was lovely!! Fairly quiet with a street full of little bars and restaurants and shops, I seem to remember there being a little area with fishing huts etc too. The beaches are amazing!! There's a main one but there are a a couple of tiny little coves with amazing rock formations that hardly anyone goes to - bliss! Oh and there's a really good big modern hospital too as we found out when Dad's arm swelled up massively for no reason an he had to go for x-rays!

LOADS more stuff waiting in the wings, most of what is in our attic is clutter, about half of the stuff shoved in the garage, and then still almost a shedful at mum and dads. I could ebay from now until the summer every day and I'd not run out of stuff.

Yuk, that's a depressing thought! HAve you thought about doing an item or two a day, then maybe five at the weekends? Might be a nightmare to kepp track of but would keep the money trickling in?

At the moment I'm aiming for 7-10 a day and 20 on weekends.... that's how much clutter there is to go! I'm looking on the brightside, that much clutter should equal a lot more space and money. I'm even resorted to bulk listing things (last night was 16 sewing patterns a lot of which I bought when doing the dressmaking course, and some of my nanas vintage ones, hoping they do as well as the 41 comics which made £30 last night too).

Why not get rid of the 'will only make £1' stuff at a car boot? 'Tis the season! :)

I think the reason I put off making stuff is that I get mind-block so easily and it can last ages when it comes to certain projects, in this case, 4 years! I'm hoping that getting one project done will open the gate for more! I've found loads of lovely stuff in the great move and sort of the spare room so I'm hoping to use it!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Anything that doesn't sell is being added to a big car boot box. Already have enough stuff to go really as half the huge shed at my parents is a car boot pile. We'll get there in the end.

    What sewing patterns??

16 patterns, about 4 vintage, McCalls, New Look, some bags etc. I still have about 30 more patterns and there's no way I'm going to get around to all of them so I'm just having a bit of a declutter.

    Thanks Tete,

It was me who asked! WE are staying in Alvor and am really looking forward to it. My parents stayed there about 14 years ago too and they loved it so I can't wait to go!

Well done on the Ebay sales Dinah!

Just got some great news. OH has been given £1000 towards his relocation to Scotland (totally unexpected) so that will go off his Tesco credit card!

Yay - hooray to surprise money :)
