    LOL, know that feeling Dinah!

I think it kind of depends on what you're after with your city break. When I went to London with OH we stayed at The Tower (thanks to Tesco vouchers!) it was lovely and we enjoyed spending a few hours hanging out in the room wearing fluffy dressing gowns and eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts and drinking wine so it was part of the whole weekend. When I went with my Mum we stayed at a really basic hotel where we just collapsed on the bed at the end of the day, we didn't like the hotel but the trip was all about being out of the room so it didn't matter what it was like and we felt that the money saved on not staying in a posh hotel was better spent on Lion King tickets! :) Why and when are you going to London?

    The Zetter looks fab CMD!

Going to London as our flights to NY go out of there, so plenty of luxury to come, but I've never been to London and not stayed 5* - I don't think we'd exactly hang about in the room tbh, but it's just the being spoilt feeling and ofc the fantastic breakfast the next day. Need to see what time we fly to NY though as if it's early and we don't get the breakfast anyway, whats the point?!

Are you flights from Heathrow? If so then take in account the cost of getting to Heathrow from central london. Tube will take over an hour. Heathrow express is 15 minutes but costs.

If you fancy something different have a look at Windsor.

You know, I have absolutely no idea where we fly from. Or to for that matter. What I do have is a map of bakeries I need to visit!

I'll bring you back the annotated map - which ones are the best so when you go it can be more efficient - none of this dillydallying! I definately need to try any of the bakeries whose cookbook I have, and the huge central one (can't remember right now if it's the Central Bakery or New York Bakery). I really should be good and save hard so we can have a fantastic time while we're over there.

Suspect your flights will be from Heathrow if your going to New York. Can you remember which airline it is with?

Windsor has some good places, pubs and restaurants. London is not that far away on the train if you want the run in.

Now there's a good plan Dinah, wherever we go we can all make annotated maps of good eateries to pass on to everyone else in the group!

For Florida I have a plan of which parks to go to on which day and where we're going to have lunch, snacks and dinner! Now there's efficiency!

:rotfl: Yes, plenty of time to work out the minor details like flights!! I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the Hummingbird shop in London - the cakes were lovely but there wasn't as much choice as I was expecting. I bet in NY they'll be amazing though!
