I can get it for £253.50 each in a 4*, AI, 77 thumbs on Trip advisor, including train to the airport, airport bus, flights, but not including transfers on the other side, and I also don't know the flight times, need to call up about that tonight.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Well some of them are bound to be true, I guess you have to use your judgement - if they're complaining that there was no orange juice left at breakfast or if they're complaining that they had no running water for three of the seven days? I second Birdie though. Where are you narrowed down to, have I missed that?
The only April Fool I fell for was Martin's on FB this morning - saying that Wonga had bought the rights to MSE - I was like :eek: That's quite a good one though Birdie, made me smile a bit sorry!
I'm sure Wendz has been spoilt rotten, can't believe she's already going on leave!
I have just run 3.6km (no April Fool!) - are you proud of me???Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
We're narrowed down to Majorca, it's either a hotel in Cala Millor (Hotel Sumba) or Porto Cristo (THB Felip or something similar)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Nope it shot out of our price range, we're looking at Majorca now. The hotel we want has 77% thumbs up on trip advisor, which is reasonable, but I need to find out the flight times as I think we're going to go from Edinburgh as it's by far the cheapest and it's only a £20 return train journey. My friend won't consider anything under 4* and it has to be all inclusive for 7 nights, and I won't look at anything under 65% positive on trip advisor after the Egypt disaster, but on her £250 budget thats quite a tall order!
Oh no - why does your friend want all inclusive! One of my favourite things on holidays is wining and dining in different restaurants!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Not at work today?
I'd happily go 3*, 2* usually don't have a pool which would be nice. I do put a lot of stock in trip advisor because I know our place in Egypt was noisy and dirty, and we only got about 4 hours sleep a night and I needed a holiday to get over it - I'd like to avoid repeating teh experience!
I totally agree. I think Tripadvisor is really good and have been rarely let down by it! I have to say I am a 4* girl too. Hence all the debt!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Mine too, but she's on a very tight budget, and even if we only spent £15 a day on all food and drink (I spend about that on soft drinks and ice creams alone!) it'd work out more expensive.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ooh I went to Cala Millor when I was about nine! All I remember about it is Manacor market though. I agree with CMD - we're such food obsessives!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I'm really struggling atm as NIM and I are staying in London for 2 nights before New York. I'm firmly of the opinion city breaks are for luxury, however I'm also aware we have debt. So I'm torn between whether we spend the £350 to go 5* or £220 and go B & B. My cousin did offer us her sofa once but I'm a bit uneasy about sleeping in a lounge at our age, I don't really feel like I'm in that place anymore!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Both were very reasonable (approx £100) and really nice
For luxury, my friend stayed here before she jetted off to India on her honeymoon and it looks gorgeous - but pricey!

I'll have to check them out - but I need to book the girlie holiday in two weeks first! Then a weekend back to Ireland.... I really need to spend a lot of time on ebay this weekend! Which is bad as NIM and I have a canny few MS to do. Still, should make us £70 or so, probably more than I'd make listing clutter on ebay.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
