I love the little train at Newby! We had a nice day out there last year, the food festival and then a locally made burger in the orchard. I always wish we had someones child in tow though so we can go on the huge playground!

I haven't been to Newby in about 10 years... we used to go all the time when I was younger, I loved the train and the amazing rafty thing on the river (am I making that up?!). The playground was brilliant, we'd get left in there for hours! Really looking forward to my friend's baby being a bit older so we can take her for the day, we're lacking in children to take places at the moment, it's really annoying!

No the rafty thing is real! Forbidden corner - another awesome place you feel a bit of a prat going without bairns in tow.

Yeah, I went to the Forbidden Corner a few years ago with a friend and we did feel like we should have had little'uns with us!

I'm not even going to mention the time I went to see Disney on Ice with my Disney-mad friend and we were the only ones there without children! :rotfl:
