Help, I'm having an ISA brain fart! I used to know all about them but have forgotten!

The ISA deadlines... are they just urgent so you can get some money into them without eating into next year's allowance, or will the rates offered after 6th April be poo?

I need to move my one as it's at 1% but I don't have anything extra to go in it just yet ... am I better to wait for my 2010-11 interest at my current bank (which will be added April 6th I think) THEN move,

    or

snap up a 3% deal now while I can, even though I'll lose my interest (will I actually lose it??) on the current one, because it'll be worth it because the rates will all be rubbish if I wait???

    ???

Does that make any sense at all?! :/

It makes sense. Some accounts lock your money in, some don't, so it's hard to say if you'll loose it or not as you'd need to ask the bank. The rates do usually drop after the deadline, but you'll still get something better than 1%.

Argh, I haven't checked all of this early enough. I guess whatever I do I'll be better off than I am now. I don't know if I'm still locked in as I've been there two years now..?

Also, is there car parking at Maxine's? I don't know Darlington at all really and neither does my friend, it's gonna be brill!

You could call it car parking, there are spaces but it is VERY pokey.

But there is plenty on street nearby, especially between the residentail bits on the way up to it.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Aye as NIM says the car park isn't really big enough for how many people go, but the road up to it has loads of free parking, and it's only a 30m walk.

If it's been two years I very much doubt you's still be tied in.

No I don't think I will either, will prob just go for it - eep!

Thanks both for the car parking advice - am v nervous at driving there, does anyone else get like that for somewhere they don't know? Never mind - it'll be an adventure! Will fill up on the petrol before I set off just in case it does end up being a magical mystery tour...

Lol yeah I get nervous too, I often check on google street view first to check I'm not going to get the car stuck somewhere.

Oh and at Lake Bled in Slovenia! Wouldn't mind going there again. It is stunning!

Your a braver woman than me Dinah, no way would I go on a holiday where I didn't find out where I was going until the airport. I am too much of a control freak about travelling!
