Ooooh I walked past the Hummingbird book in Sainsbury's last night, didn't register that it was so cheap! Might have to go back to a look! :)

Sounds like a fun idea Dinah... I think it'd drive me mad not knowing where we were going but it will make it all very exciting! I presume your friend is very easy going to allow this?!

Sorry your Mum's still being negative about the wedding Lara, I'm sure she'll be great on the day when she sees how happy you are and how beautiful your venue is! :)

Pretty exciting about NIM booking the holiday Dinah! I'd hate that though, not really knowing what to book and not being able to read up on the area before hand to know what to do, local customs ect! My Parents are wanting to book me and OH a holiday for my 21st next year, with the same kind of idea. Urgh, dreading it tbh! I know they're being kind and very lovely wanting to send us on a 'hot' holiday and I'm sounding spoilt for saying it, but I'd much rather have a holiday in England. Oh well, it's a year away so I'll see what happens!

Tete - When my Dad saw the advert for that Kirsty and Phil show he called it and said 'But it won't be near a normal persons budget' I think it's targetted at the 'Oh no, I won't be able to go on a forth holiday this year' type of broke people. Watched the tight old ladies show though, I liked the Lady with the big farm because she sempt a little bonkers. I can't believe they're on 108k a year and overspent by 2.8k a month  I don't even know how me and OH could even spend 2.8k a month on things that weren't bills. I couldn't stand the token 'crafty' lady either. 'Well, my Brother's called Paul. So I'll make this into his Birthday card.' *smug smile* I'm sorry, do you want an award?

Sorry your Mum is still being off with you Lara :( Do you think it's because she's feeling left out with the wedding planning? Is there something you could get her to sort out for you so she feels a little more useful?

Lol my friend suggested it! Tbh it's all cheapy meditteranean type stuff we're looking at so I've sort of taken the attitude of 'one beach and resort is the same as another'. Although NIM tells me the one he's picked has a little train.

Well yeah, and surely buying some old magazine from a charity shop is just the same price as buying a (nice) birthday card?

I know yikes to the overspending - I know they say 'the more you have the more you spend' but really! And don't they get sick of having takeaway EVERY NIGHT? All I'd want is a nice apple!

Dinah, little train could be Ibiza! Or Saltburn?

Lol I wouldn't be chuffed if he sent me to somewhere I work every week, and several of the residents are out for my blood! Saltburn is beautiful mind (the flat we want to buy and rent out is still for sale there too!)

Anyone else waiting to see trees falling down in the wind today or is it just me?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

The other week when it was really windy here a tree did fall down, right in the road outside my office and it squashed some poor souls Landrover!

Just how little is this little train? Like miniature railway at Newby Hall small or just a bit smaller than the average train?! Or am I over-thinking?!

I forgot to watch both of those shows on C4 last night, I was wading through my junk in the spare room (up to 3 bin bags of rubbish now!), sounds like I didn't miss too much though!
