Hehe, it's Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the new Narnia film. We were up stupidly early for some reason so watched it this morning, it was pretty good too! :)

Enjoy your tapas Lara, I'm a little jealous!

    Morning all. Hows everyones Monday?

I had Friday off, I do love it when I wrangle a 3 day weekend. I spent the day tidying and organising, meaning I spent all Saturday pottering about in the kitchen. This resulted in sun dried tomato and rosemary rolls, brioche, meat and veggie shepherd in a cottage pie, banoffee pie, apricot and chickpea pate and chocolate peanut butter rock cakes. Somehow they've managed to make the cupboards look fuller not emptier than they were before! Blog posts will go up on some of these in the next few days.

NIM isn't very well today. He thinks it's food poisioning but I'm holding out against that idea in favour of a tummy bug.

My wages have gone in, NIMs haven't. Bit of an issue as all the bills have come out, and NIMs very expensive mystery shops at the weekend have come out so atm we're possibly in the position where we're going to end up with bank charges even after payday! Really gauls me that in trying to make £125 we're going to end up paying £75 in fees.

Haven't had any time to work on the business lately, but I need to push on with ebay atm, as things are tight this month until NIMs shop reimbursement comes through, and thats before taking into account booking my holiday. I got 18 things listed on ebay yesterday, which embarrassingly took me 8 hours. Aiming to get another 15 on there tonight.

Speaking of the business things have sort of ground to a halt due to a lack of start up funding, I just can't seem to find any slack in our budget atm to make it work. I have all these ideas but I need money to drive it forward, and with things feeling so tight I'm not willing to borrow any more to achieve this. Which leaves me ebaying tatt for £2 a go.

Oh sorry to hear about that Dinah :( Bank charges suck! Could you put off your holiday until September or something?

It must be so frustrating having so many ideas for your business but not being able to do anything because it all costs money! OH was playing Command And Conquer yesterday afternoon and the stupid voiceover woman kept saying 'Insufficient Funds!' whenever he tried to do something... it's like art imitating life! :rotfl:

Just posted on Cinny's thread that poor OH was robbed twice over the weekend... bad luck or what?! All we need now is to find out that someone's cloned his credit card and we'll have a triple whammy!

Your Saturday in the kitchen sounds very productive and tasty! I wish I was more inclined to spend my weekends baking, but since the kitchen is basically in the corner of the living room it's not much fun! It'll be so strange when we move and we're going to actually have to go through doors to move between living areas!

Hope you get lots of money from your ebay sales, sounds like you need it!

Hope NIM is over his illness quickly too, poor lamb!

Hope you manage to get money from somewhere Dinah. I know it's a while off getting it but you have got your car money to use at some point, right? Sounds like you had a pretty fantastic day in the Kitchen too! My Kitchen days have gone from fun and interesting sounding like that to just essential cooking and baking and bloody cheese grating! Where have all my cupcakes gone?

Bless NIM! Well, bless NIM as long as he's properly sick and not man sick :D Hope he's feeling better soon!

How are you getting on with the movie titles, Birdie? I've updated my list today for the first time since I got it going and surprisingly we've watched either just under, or dead on half the titles. The common letters really are running out now and I feel like I'm going to be watching some seriously odd ones running up to the end of it. We watch so many movies now on Sky though, there's always something new to watch on Anytime so that's kind of our go to when we have a night in together. I still can't believe I bloody cried at a movie with Miley Cyrus in it, she's got a funny mouth but she was good in it I swear!

Nah he's properly sick this time so I do feel sorry for him.

Aye car money at some point, but that doesn't help me right now when I need it! Car money will pay for the lounge floor, floor fitting and the stove.

I'm angry at the very concept of money now. I feel like we're asset rich and both time and cash poor and that annoys me no end!

Cinny, I'm not doing fantastically, but plodding along OK! I've got 8... although I've watched 10 movies since I started counting, but 3 of them began with a T! I'm hoping to watch my 'H' movie ('How do You Know?') tonight whilst I finish writing my thank you cards. I have a feeling I'm going to end up watching some pretty obscure stuff towards the end too! I'd watch Last Song to back you up (crying at Miley!!!) but I've already seen my L movie... Love And Other Drugs, which made me wish I was taking some of the prescription drugs the guy in the movie was selling that would have made it more watchable! :rotfl:

I need to log back in actually and update since I bought a dress from a charity shop on Saturday which is another 'goal' (got jealous of Tete and all her blog posts about charity shop finds when I can never find anything worth buying!). Got a bit paranoid though as the woman said as she was bagging it up, 'I'll have to tell the girl who works with me that she won the bet, I didn't want to put it out since I doubted it would sell but she told me it would!'... errr, what's wrong with it?! It's just a blue cotton shirt dress from Oasis, why wouldn't that sell?! I found a cute belt in Primark to jazz it up a bit for £1 so I'm pretty pleased! :)

Yum, your weekend cooking sounds amazingly productive - I'm impressed if I cook or bake more than one dish at a time! Poor NIM, I hope he wasn't insinuating that your food made him ill!

It's very frustrating that money can limit everything, even your creativity! Still I'm sure you'll get to a place where you can focus more on your business soon.

Oh no, poor Mr Birdie - what happened?

Dinah Hope NIM feels better soon! That is rubbish about the business too, is so hard to get these things started especially when you are lacking in time and money.

Birdie - sorry to hear about your OH, really horrible for him. The dress sounds nice, doesn't sound like the lady was a good saleswoman lol.

Not much news from me. My last week of work, so weird to think I don't have to work another Monday this year! Had my baby shower Sat, was really fun and lovely to see all my friends. We played games and had lots of yummy food and cakes. Also got a few pressies with promises of others when the baby is here. Got some really cute outfits and a tiny little swimming costume from my sister aww!
