Caterpillar In my sweetcorn......

I made beef stew in the slow cooker last week, I was lazy and used 2 packets of the Asda prepackaged and chopped carrot and swede.
I just put them straight into the pot with the other ingredients and cooked it for about 6 hours.
When we came to eat it, hubby had a dead caterpillar in his portion, he picked it out and felt a bit queasy for a couple of minutes, but ate the rest of the stew.
I didn't even think to complain to Asda about it, no harm was done(except to the caterpillar, which my kitten later ate so he got his protein!)

Sounds a pretty disgusting meal with or without the caterpillar.0 -
I had a live caterpillar in my tuna nicoise wrap from the Victoria Pret a Manger a few years ago. I took it back and got a £5 voucher and I also complained to the Head Office and I got a £10 voucher. I'd complain because it is very, very unpleasant to have bugs in your food. I suppose though if it was frozen then it would be dead at least.0

And why are people saying don't complain?? What if it was a cockroach or a dead mouse. Presumably the same quality controls that stop caterpillars getting in your food are the same for other creatures. If companies don't know about this then how are they going to improve their procedures. Strange logic!!0
