Was quite happily preparing sunday dinner when i poured the frozen sweetcorn into the saucepan to find a frozen baby caterpillar in with it!!!
I phoned Asda up and they told me to take the sweetcorn back to my local store for a refund and fill out some forms but after speaking to a few friends they seem to think that i should get some kind of compensation?
I'm really confused as to what line i go down now? Can anyone help me please???

No compensation due, sorry.
Next time, eat the caterpillar. Good protein. Probably corn fed too.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I boiled a caterpillar the other day with my cabbage..That is the problem with natural products like veg I am afraid. Creepy things do tend to like them also.
Can't see why there should be compo though. No one bar the poor caterpiller was harmed during the process, maybe they should track down the critters family and offer them money or free veg for life for the loss of a family member.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

Never heard of that before, but an excellent MSE initiative.
Perhaps you should consider eating it only once in future.0 -
Just pick the caterpillar out the next time and carry one.

In reality you owe Asda money now, you obviously recieved the free range corn rather than the batterygrowninasterileatmosphere corn.0

I think all the CHAVS working in the ASDA store should write 90,000 word thesis on the wrongs of selling porr quality goods and why they should recieve no unemployment benefit for 24 months after they leave their posts. Is thius what OP wants?0

Just take the caterpillar out, pop it in the compost bin and carry on with your life.
See, you can be happy after the event as well as before it. Simples.
[No need for the !!! - vegetables grow in soil and insects will be in the vicinity. It's not rocket science [or perhaps it is?]]If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
What scares me the most is she posted this 4 days after the event.0
