Hi all, the profile says Im a newbie but Im not. I used to be called Racer256 but I can not login and have requested my password and its not responding.
Anyway my life looks a lot different than last year. A year ago I was in a relationship although it wasn't violent or abusive was hard work and had fizzled out to the death. It had taken its toll on me and I decided enough was enough and broke free.
I moved into shared accomodation where I met my flatmate who is a star. But we had a difficult landlord. We moved into a two bedroom flat in March and have been very happy.
Since August I have met a lot of lovely people by socialising..which is good considering I haven't had a proper social life. I have had a lot of fun. In June I went to Canada, which was a dream come true. I am also in a Punk Band.
There is one thing thats not quite right...I am in debt. I have a loan with 7 months left to pay and a credit card which is a 0%. I am quite relaxed about both but this is my journey to becoming debt free while having a life.

Ok I have been approved for another 0% Credit Card which has no Balance Transfer fee so the CC should be £2110 after this months payment...so here's to chipping the card away but would it make sense to pay the minimum payment and then put the rest in my ISA? I think I should do that and pay it off after the term.
On another note I dont need to pay for anything else got loads of food just need a few bits like breakfast cereal and bits for lunch but thats it. I have done a SOA but wont post up until I feel I have made the necessary cut backs.0 -

Yep - that would be the best way to go. Just make sure whichever ISA you pick pays more than a normal savings account (after tax). They're a bit tricky that way."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Ok I think this thread has died...time to kick it back into LIFE!! How is everyone? Ok a few changes, my band went into hiatus...so no band now!
Two I only got £1615 transfered onto 0% so I still have my Tesco Card to pay off at the moment it is £750 approx...just waiting for my statement. I have made a payment of £55 since my last statement, Santander currently stands at £1610 and I am paying the minimum off, that a 6 month deal and expires in April.
Ok as for my spending the debt has gone up because of Xmas (I know I know) and it has to be reduced. I am paying for things like food on Santander as its 0% and use that money to pay off Tesco (which is 16.9%)0 -
So far I have £170 to throw against the Tesco card :-)0

Had a nice day out today and spent no money at all. I walked into town instead of taking the bus and had a look around the shops. I took my own lunch and coffee into town and walked around the local art gallery which is free to enter and had a lovely. I even bumped into a friend in town. Mmm what I can do for free tomorrow!0

Ok I'm a bit sore from all the walking yesterday so today sadly I have to rest a wee bit but I have to take a walk down to Tescos to get milk and a few bits but Im on a £5 budget. I think I willpractise my bass and then start scouting again on Slice the Pie!0

Be interested to hear what other things you find to do for free!
I've managed to get to some gigs for free either via band sites or SFF or even on here although there is probably more on offer down here.0
