I spent a happy afternoon pebble licking with my Mum in B&Q the other week. I'm not sure they have any idea what colour they are supposed to be as they all looked the flipping same!0

You're on. We need an expert witness. Not much money left now because of bloody Titmarsh's fees but if you'd like the balance of a bag of BLKPEBBS at £7.48p that aren't anything like the BLKPEBBS anyone with a functioning eyeball would pay £7.48p for, then. . . ?0 -
Have you considered
EAN: 5011867220048 BLKPNT coupled with EAN: 7311490019179 PNTBRSH??0 -
I think you should write to the newspapers.
Or write for the newspapers.
Alternatively sell them on ebay - buyer uplifts and bags. You might even make a profit.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

I'm trembling now. Please stop.Owain_Moneysaver wrote: »Alternatively sell them on ebay - buyer uplifts and bags. You might even make a profit.
But wouldn't the listing break anti-discriminatory legislation?
BIN: Bag of BLKPEBBS. Item condition: Used. Seller's terms: only bid if you can prove you work in the merchandising department of B&Q. Return policy: er, somewhat difficult.Pebble licking!!!!!!

I've always thought that being an MSE member opens the door to opportunities hitherto unconceived. However, as with pebbles, so with much else in life, licking isn't necessarily guaranteed to change anything. I should know. I used a hosepipe and that had no effect at all.0 -

They pretty much look like horrible grey stone chips in the picture too
Quick update. Thanks to your link, I thought I'd review the item on B&Q's website seeing as no-one has commented before on BLKPEBBS at £7.48p or even the amazing bargain of half a ton of this builder's rubble for only £299.98p.
I had to register before I could post, and also give a username that was not my own. The review is now awaiting moderation. In the meantime, I have received this email from the lovely people at B&Q:
Dear Not_Colour_Blind:
Thank you for registering on diy.com.

well, not the pebbles exactly, but your fingers, then wipe the spit over the pebbles. They are covered in that much dust its impossible to decide what colour they are.
Its actually quite therapeutic, though somewhat disappointing when you realise that B&Q's definition of green and my definition of green are 2 totally different things.
Maybe I should have taken a pantone swatch hehe0 -
PhylPHo and everyone else - thank you
you have made me laugh out loud this evening - Phylpho - I thought my back was bad this evening after moving several 5LT LGECLERPLASSTOR boxes full of tombola prizes for a charity event next weekend
but obviously my sore back from moving 5 5LT LGECLERPLASSTOR boxes can in no way compare to your bad back from moving BLKPEBBS at £7.48p.
so thank you for a wonderful thread - I think you have had some wonderful help from fellow MSE'rs
and I applaud you for a truly funny thread
