I have to tell you lot cos there's no-one else to tell right now, lol.

And yes, it's related to money saving because we can't flipping afford for tradesmen to do the work so muggins here has to.

I'm now sat here with a big wad of kitchen roll and loads of electrical tape wrapped round my hand. Thought it might have been a stitches job tbh but it seems to have stopped bleeding now. It's very sore.

No medical advice needed or asked for, thank you.

That's the rest of the day wasted now, the cut is on the palm of my hand and opens when I move it. (But I can still type with one hand. ).

This house is never going to get finished.

eep, not good Jo!! I remember when my ex did that stupidly cutting some drainpipe at a daft angle..the cut was rly deep and as yours, ,opens when you try to move hand / do anything

Are you going to the docs to see if they think it will need stitching?

Nah, I'm [STRIKE]too scared for that[/STRIKE] tough me.

Googled to see when you should get stitches and I think I wont bother, it's a bit borderline and as long as I sit still, it wont bleed. Shame that....having to sit still.

Ouch! That sounds horrible, and I think a cuppa and some chocolate might be in order.

This is more a DIY suggestion than medical, but you can get steri-strips from chemists that might help keep it closed? I found them great after surgery on the palm of my hand (my dentist friend also stuck it together with superglue - that was great, but not sure it's best medical practice!)
