Have you tried the local authority for a bus pass? When I was growing up, we were on a low income and benefits, eventually solely dependant on benefits. We moved into council housing when I was 9 after having our house repossessed, As I only had 6 months left at primary school, my parents wouldn't let me change schools to the local one, I got a bus pass that was 5p each way (granted this was 15 years ago) but I also got free school meals, when I went to secondary school I continued to have free school meals and a 20p bus pass. Maybe recheck with the school/local authority about this!
Hi thanks for the advice but really have tried with the school and local authority but to no avail. As my husbands still employed but on the sick we cant qualify for school meals and local authority said that its choice that i send them to the better school. But i know what you mean we use to get free travel and im 28 so wasnt that long ago either.I cant understand why we cant have the free school dinners as if oh was on jobseekers wed get them and our income would be the same thanks for the help.

Good to hear that you are starting to feel in control of the situation rather than the other way round. I hope you all have a nice birthday party.

There was no lying to obtain the loan and they didnt even run a credit check. After talking to payplan im not that worried about shopacheck as there are other companies which would probably have more to say about the token payment than them.

Well done. PAYPLAN will tell you which debts should be given priority. Also report any threatening behaviour, or harrassment, by creditors to PAYPLAN as some creditors will continue to try to put pressure on you in order to get preferential treatment.

  • Have just had my first aggressive phonecall from the famous moorcroft. We have 3 accounts ones my husband for a credit card about £3000 and two are mine both for £100 each. They said that if i dont offer them at least £10 theyll take me to court. They received my soa and token offer letter today and obviously werent impressed.Yet they rang my husband 30 mins later and were ever so nice and agreed yet his is for far more. All i can say is what b*****ds.I was quite shaken but im guessing theyre bluffing as surely it would cost them more than £100 to take me to court.I do have my letters ready to send to ask for copies of the original credit agreement but wasnt sure when the best time to send them would be(wait till after theyd received token offer and soa i thought)When shall i send them do you think? And should i worry?Ive rang payplan but theyre busy so have said theyll call back.
