  • also, value has little to do with it. if a private company makes profit, it can pay its staff whatever it wants. if it loses money, the staff get noting.

What if that company makes most/all of its money from the public sector?

What the hell do we need breast-feeding coordinators for? Does the government really believe it needs to advise mothers how to feed their freaking children?

How on earth did we manage for the few tens of thousands of years without them?

In this case, it is a Clinical Infant feeding Lead working in the biggest childrens hospital in the country, If you read the job specification, the role involves making clinical decision regarding feeding babys that may have been born premature, have cancer, or have similar diseases which mean that there ability to eat is impared. Of course, the role is valueless, because using expert knowledge to allow babys that are deeply sick to eat is unimportant.

Before we had roles such as this, the baby would have died a slow, painful, lingering death, but I suppose that is unimportant, and the role is valueless.

Makes you think may not have been such an accident.

Ministers have had their briefcase allowance slashed, so they are forced to carry top secret documents about in full public view.

Of course, you are the only person who does anything of value.

You really are a sad, pathetic little man.

What's the matter Sir Humphrey? Worried that you're in line for the chop and have to compete in the real world in future?

46k on breast feeding co ordinator is obscene. this"job" should not exist, and if it really must, isn't 20k sufficient????

    The irony...
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Actual jobs advertised by one of the London councils earlier this year. I think it was Hackney. Google it.

When I mentioned it at the time, another poster found the exact ads.

Here we go . . read the job specification. This is a current ad. I'll look forward to your apology.

You can dish it out but can't take it.
