Hi No money,
well done for starting a diary too! It is a great way to get it all out. How are you doing with your debts?
thats a good idea, I spend so much more than that a week and the cards go everywhere with me. I need to get out of eating out too, its so easy just to pick something up out of the house.
I will give that a try and see how I get on! thank u so muchClutter clearout - 12 bags

Hi unsavy,
I've made quite a bit, but we are still clearing the contents of a house so I have LOADS to sell. There's huge volumes of low value stuff.
I do rely on the surveys and bingoport for my spending money (don't always succeed though!). It does take a bit of time, but I don't mind when I get those vouchers as I can spend them without any guilt at all.
There's also Dooyoo where you review items, but I've not got round too much to doing that."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I think no money's suggestion of giving yourself an allocated amount of spending money each week will help because you can still buy something, but without going overboard."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". It's going slowly - managed to acquire a new CC with a 0% balance transfer for 14 months, so when that comes through will be swapping my highest interest cards to it to work through. Apart from that not much movement has come on the debts yet. Good things come to those that wait though as they say.0 -

Wow thats great, even the low value stuff brings the pennies in nicely, its all stuff you wont use and would have chucked with the thought of 'I wont get much'
I like that - being able to spend without any guilt! Thats a really good way of doing it, I hope one day once the debt is gone and I am Savy with £ I too will be able to follow in your footsteps.
I will have a look at that too, i need to allocate a day this week to joining the sites and getting some sort of order about me.Clutter clearout - 12 bags

I am going to give myself a weekly spend as of next week. I think that will help me think twice about spending on non essential overly priced things.Clutter clearout - 12 bags

Woken up with a sense of low feelings, worrying about christmas (its quiet normal at this time of year, its when the cc comes out) and thought how I dont want to be like this next year.
Also been thinking about how I can reduce our monthly outgoings. I think I need to cancel the gym membership the OH is paying for, I can do exercising at home and walking. free exercising!

I'm FAR from debt free - this is what I do now, so I can still buy things. There's no way I can afford it otherwise. But it stops me from having a 'sod it' moment and blowing loads of cash on things I don't need. When I'm debt free, I'll probably still do some things as I quite enjoy them, but I won't HAVE to do them which will be lovely.
As I mainly buy books, I read them then sell them again once I've finished with them, so it works out that I can get some cash back too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
