Well a little update from moi,
Not been on for a couple of days been busy doing bits and pieces, all productive stuff.
-I have found 3 old mobile phones, 2 which both still work. I have worked it out that I can get £36 in total from selling the 3!! So am going to take my bits off the ones which still have things on then will recycle those for the cash! that will be money towards the credit card.
- Did my shopping online, and have managed to get everything for the month, the cupboards are no longer bare and hopefully apart from some milk, I shouldnt be going near a supermarket only to take some bits back which I bought and do not need as its silly keeping things for the sake of it, oh yes my attitude is changing.
- Sold 2 items on ebay, have plenty more to list - I have had a good clear out of another cupboard
- I've been thinking about possibly doing Avon as a friend has started it. I am looking into it in more details and have been speaking to a lovely person on here who has given me advice.
- I am have avoided the shops the best I can, I am really trying not to spend this month, really trying. I just want to focus on making money. I have kept all receipts so far since Ive been paid.
Well off to have a look around the site, speak to you later!Clutter clearout - 12 bags

Hi i am having a nose round while i'm bored in my sick bed! You sound a bit like me or how i once was as regards to shopping. Years ago i ran up debts with numerous catalogues buying pretty clothes for my baby (now 14!) and loads of stuff for the house! None of which 13 years later I have! Same as you quantity not quality! As I've grown up and had more children, drop in income and the break up of my long term relationship I've realised that shopping may make me feel good short term but long term it really doesn't. Although I am by far not the best person financially i am a lot more savvy. One of these things is with my shopping. Check out the Grocery challenge on OS board. I joined it and did go over by my budget but am so determined this month!! Also with regards to your house visit the Flylady thread...its brilliant.
Anyway i went off on a tangent then! I was actually going to say regarding your house insurance are you actually tied in as all of the policies i've had you can cancel when you like? May be worth checking this out?
Good luck.xxIf music be the food of love then play on"No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow". ღ ~Maya AngelouDoing it for my kids. For a better secure life. x0 -

Hey I hope you feel better soon!! :grouphug: Thank you for taking the time to post on my diary.
You've done really well and have words of inspiration, its so easily done isn't, you've changed your shopping ways so it gives me hope that I can.
I will have a look at those, I need all the help I can get! Any new ideas are highly welcomed and appreciated.
How long did it take for you to really change your spending ways? I know its going to take a long time but i am so determined now.
The policy included cashback from the bank paid into my bank account so I am sure its a years policy, I will have a look through the paperwork.
This diary is also a little godsend, its great to be able to have a cuppa and reflect on what I am doing! xClutter clearout - 12 bags

Well feeling a little low today, I have realised that I have some serious issues when it comes to checking the bank account, why is this? I find it really difficult and I dont know why. I am scared all the time but I dont need to be do I , its only me who is making the mistakes and not keeping track of it and going on spending sprees....
On a more positive note, I have found yet another bag of stuff to list on ebay, and I have joined valued opinions, only a competition survey so far, and also completed another survey on a mums survey site which I earned £1.52 plus will receive a freebie! not bad for a mornings work.
Well must dash! :cool:Clutter clearout - 12 bags

Well I have really been silly, I got a mini statement yesterday from my bank account and oh my god there isnt much to last the rest of the month - why because I am a naughty shopaholic. Plan - to make money now!
I feel so down in myself and can not believe I have done it again, why do I do these things? Christmas is coming, new year is on its way and I am in a no better situation than I was in last year! Do I really want to start 2011 the same way???? No I do not! I need to really sort my head out, act on my ideas and wants and stop being such a naughty shopaholic.... I need to become a selleraholic! Yes thats my mission!
So having joined one poll, and valued opinions, I need to find some more survey sites.... Also need to crack on for some serious ebaying! And pull my strings in on every other angle possible.
I've got debt to deal with, bills to pay and a house full of clutter - the world is my oyster!Clutter clearout - 12 bags

Hi Unsavy,
You've done really well so far, if you've got a house full of clutter then you've got lots of options to make some cash! (I know this from experience!). It does get addictive too, seeing the money come in and the items going out, however annoying it is listing!
I second survey sites for getting vouchers - this is how I get 'spending money'. I also use Lightspeed, Synovate, Harris Poll, Ipsos as well as the ones you've mentioned. I also play on bingoport - if I'm lucky this gives me a £5 amazon voucher every 2 weeks."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi there.
Thought I'd drop by and lend my support, I am a newbie to the debt free diary as well so know what your going through after years burying my head in the sand.
A little tip that I have used since starting my diary to help keep the spending down. I am allowing myself £10 per week spend which isn't too unreasonable amount I take that out from a cash point round the corner from home Sunday night when I head home from football (free I might add). Then, for the week I leave my cards at home and only carry my wallet with my driving license, work ID and the £10 (or what is left of it) around with me.
Once it's gone it's gone and I cannot spend anymore until the next week and whatever I have left at the end of the week I put in a jar at home for debt repayments. So far I have only run out once, just mean't we didn't go out at the weekend (to avoid temptation) fortunately it rained the whole time.0
