Just had a thought - you didn't go through a company who specialises in reclaiming PPI, and that this missing money could be their fee?
No didn't use a company just our dear martins letters. XxxClutter clearout - 12 bags

Definitely query the ppi payment, it seems weird that it is less than they told you it would be. There's no harm in asking!

Good morning everyone,
Well I was really bad yesterday, OH was going on about christmas presents and how we really needed to get onto it, so we did but not in the way I want to do it next year! The dreaded credit card! But hey hes happy, I feel less stressed about christmas and will just need to deal with it, it certainly wont be like this next year!
On the other hand, I have done a little bit of searching this morning, and I came across a voucher from Virgin holidays for a muck up, its expired but hey I am not going on holiday any time soon so I am going to write to them, its worth £200. Even if they reimburse it with a voucher which doesnt have my name on then I will sell it on ebay (which I did with the other one)
Then I found a letter to capital one requesting all details of charges I had paid to them, I never sent the letter so I am going to rewrite as the date is well out, send a cheque for £10 and wait patiently.
And I have found the dreaded Blackhorse PPI letters. On the 25th March they received my letter regarding the PPI. On the 8th May they responded saying that I had completed the questionnaire which i did however the lady who was completing it was very pushing with selling it. I was offered £1400.92 at this point. I signed the slip and sent it back straight away.
I then received another 2 letters, both dated the 20th of May, one stating my payments will go down to £128.02 (on the loan agreement which I have just realised it states the monthly payment is £122.95) and then the amount I have been paid is £957.39.
Where do I go from here?? I am livid! Why havent I been more aware of this before? why didnt I sort it out then?
And then to top it off I have found vouchers for more baby freebies which I didnt send off so I have missed out. What is wrong with me? It just says it all about me doesnt it. I feel like I have let all my beliefs and wants down, I feel so useless. I just hate this feeling. And its payday tomorrow and I am already worrying about it.

Well my day has just got a whole of alot worst, I have just received my wage slip for the month and its awful, I think I have been underpaid over £300 so will have to have a look at this, sit down with my last couple of wage slips as will need to approach them with a case as they arent the most understanding of people. I really could not do with this this month. Ok dont panic just deal with it.Clutter clearout - 12 bags

Unsavy, stop beating yourself up!
We've all done the same, ignored things, not checked the small print etc etc. Last year I was too lazy to shop around for a car insurance quote, so just let it renew. I didn't notice that they had stuck on a £500 voluntary excess to the policy. Two weeks later I crashed my car - how much did I regret not bothering to check??? That was £500 I could very easily have avoided!
It doesn't make you a silly or bad person - the thing is you are doing something about it NOW. There are people out there who go through their whole lives like it!
My christmas has pretty much gone on credit this year too. Here's to next year when we both have a credit free christmas - yes?
I hope you get your wages sorted, that would really pee me off too!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
