There's only 2 of us EB - generally ends up around £100 by the end of the month from topping up milk and getting a few fresh bits.

I didn't find the £2 - thought it would be cheating now because I got paid today! Maybe I'll be able to hit a £1,000 this month....not likely but I can hope! :D

All Xmas presents bought (including one for OH although we weren't supposed to be doing presents) just a bday present to get and I am done - thank you everyone for spurring me on - turns out organisation is actually quite a nice feeling! :D

  • Well done Beccie!! You're doing so well!!!! I have been reading up - seeing how you're getting on!!!

I have officially cleared 25% of my debt today, but at the rate I am paying things off I won't be debt-free until around April 2014... I think I'd better get my thinking cap on in the New Year and work out how I can blast it like you are!!

You must be sooooooooo excited about your trip... not long now!!

Well done Claire! 25% is one of the milestones I'm looking forward to reaching.

Am very excited about my trip - 74 days to go! :D

You should come and join us on Kat's percentage challenge thread - I'm aiming to have cleared 65% of my debt by Dec 2011.

Might help you keep pushing through in 2011, I'm sure you can get that date closer than 2014! :)

Here you are Claire, will be nice to have you along :D

You can either choose percentage of debt you want to clear or percentage of wages you will put towards debt - that way it suited everyone's debt and salaries :)

we budget £120 for monthly shopping for 2 plus animals and realistically we spend a lot more than that - we're definitely doing something wrong!

My general shopping pre LBM was never less than £300 per month (its about £150 every time I go to sainsburys and I go about every other week). On top of that was the horrendous amount spent on lunches/ coffees/danishes etc at work, and I would also eat out once or twice a week. Bearing in mind I am at bf's at least 3 nights a week (sometimes 4) I would also usually pop to Waitrose on a Saturday for bits at his house - I dont even want to add all that up! However, I think I need to in order to remember what I spend thrift I was - you ready for this? here we go:

    sainsburys - 300
lunches and work spends - 300
    dinners out - 300
    Waitrose top ups - 100

Jeepers creepers. And you should see my bins - they were full of stuff that had gone off. So ashamed now, when I look back.

I have spent a fraction of that all in since LBM - probably no more than perhaps £250...
