It's both - the next course starts in Sept 2012 which will be before I am debt free. It will need to be that one so that we will finish in June 2013, ready for end of 2013 departure.

It will cost approx £1K each, although I don't think that it all has to be paid at once.

I have told OH that I will pay for both courses as he pays all the bills and food currently (I just pay half the rent) and he previously let me live rent free when I first came back from Africa, so that I can put so much towards my debts.

I like to make it up to him as when I can :D (Aside from reguarly treating him to my awful cooking :rotfl:)

Will need to factor in that extra cost at some point and start considering proper travel costs. New budget for the new year though. For now it is still just an all out attack on the debts!

I think it's a great way to say thank you to your OH - an investment in your future!

    £11 to the loan :)

Off to church soon as work has a service over there.

Going to leave not long after that - got to fit in a cleaning job I missed from doing too many pub shifts!

Just doing a catch up as OH has gone to bed with a headache...

SO SO pleased to hear you have given up a cleaning job, I know I am going against the whole grain of being DFW but you have slogged your guts out for sooo long now, it's about time you got a break!

The voluntary redundancy sounds like it could work out well, it sounds very odd to be saying I hope you get it but I mean it in the nicest possible way of course ;). I would love to be able to plan a serious overseas adventure, I would really like to do Indonesia/Vietnam and Thailand but I'm too far gone in my job now!

Although I'm not around much I still think about you and am dead chuffed at how well you have done, before you head off abroad in 2013 we will have to meet up and have a drink xx

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Hey Jody, nice to see you again! :)

I know it sounds very odd to want redundancy but I know what you mean!

And most definitely I am up for that drink :D

    £15 to the loan :)

Forgot that tonight I am out for dinner with old work colleagues who I haven't seen for a few months so am really looking forward to it.

We haven't worked together since we were made redundant 6 years ago but still get together every few months or so which is always lots of fun :)

Lovely dinner last night. Was supposed to be at Cafe Rouge but when we got there they said our booking hadn't come through so we couldn't have a table! Managed to get into Zizzi's instead which was fine.

Going to put in a complaint though as they said their online bookings never work even though we had been emailed a confirmation and texted one. If that's the case they really should take the online bookings off their website!

Only spent £20 when I was expecting £30 so that was good too.

    £14 to the loan :)

Had Friday off to spend with my brother who has just come back from Afghanistan, went for lunch which was really nice.

Rest of the weekend was working as there was a beer festival at the pub. Was hectic but fun as we don't ever normally have all 8 staff working together so was a good laugh.

Managed to fit in some drinks with friends on Saturday and Sunday night as well, need a weekend to get over the weekend I think!

Am out for dinner tonight with my brother, mum and dad and OH which I'm looking forward to :)
