Am lucky that the pub is such a social job otherwise I don't think I could do it. Also means I have free drinks when I go out for the night there :D

Today I will be filling out my form to put in for voluntary redundancy. I am asking for end of 2013 but I am putting that I am flexible.

I will find out the future of the job I am doing currently tomorrow

  • Well done on yet another payment Beccie!

Why are you asking for redundancy? For your travels? Is your job in jeopardy anyway?

Subject to the MoD cuts you've probably heard about. Chances are mine is safe but I will find that out for definite tomorrow. Either way I can go for redundancy as even if my jobs safe, if I leave it opens my job up to someone who is losing theirs.

I have put the preferred date as end of 2013 as that ties in with me and OH completing a TEFL course before we travel and of course gives us money towards going with no need to look for another job. OH is applying for redundancy too.

Fingers crossed, I will be sooooooooo disappointed if I'm not selected!

Had my letter - my current job is not being cut so I can stay in it.

Will still be pushing ahead with the redundancy forms though :)

Great news - hope both you get what you want.

Are you doing the TEFL now? Or is that a goal for when you're debt free?
