Yes there is more.. i will have the courage and go today to the Local Authority, becasue i objected he started harrassing me, he used to wait till i came home and catapole stones at me and my car and then running back in, calling me all sorts, parked a car outside my house with a blowup doll and there was people knocking on my door telling me to move it as not appropriate for children which i had to explain it was next door neighbours, the worse experiance was on bonfire night which i cant forget the date, he throw water over me and threw stones which ghe picked up from my garden, jumped over the back fence and knocking on my windows, i called the police so many times but as it was bonfire night they came after 6 hours when he went to sleep. I then went to my mothers when the police arrived. i had most of it recorded on my mobile phone, which he did get arrested twice, but i live with this and i am still scared and cant afford to move elsewhere.
I wondered if there was more to this than just a jerry-built extension.
Seems like you have been the victim of a number of criminal offences - was he ever cautioned or charged with any offences following his arrests?
I would be getting the local councillors involved, as well as your MP."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Ive phone local authority but they were not that helpful, thereofre i have written a letter of urgancy and have to go int town with the twins to drop it off by hand. Planning never helped my at the beginning or the building department but will have to make a formal visit with the pictures. Thanx
Ring them up and ask who you can email the photo links to.
CC them to your local councillor.
State "urgent" in the heading and print out the emails and send one to your MP too.0 -
Some years ago I lived in a townhouse where many of the neighbours had done this kind of extension over the throughway and across to the neighbouring property and no, planning permission was not required.
That said, the extensions built looked an awful lot more solid than this one...but hey! we are not builders so it may be safe as houses (no pun intended). You mention the noise and I can see your point, but even if it was declared not safe, your neighbours are just going to get it repaired...they're not going to pull it down.
Given your situation, regarding the noise (and that's maybe the only avenue open to you) you could complain regarding that, but reading about the hassle you're already getting, best just to move...0 -

Its been awful.. i put an alarm in my house and all sort of sercurity, he was charged on both occasions as i had proof and he siad he was druck and didnt know what he was doing. But the police didnt do anything else. That was the end of it.. i still see him and he smerks and gives me a dodgy look. i try not to look at him and avoid him but it is impossible sometimes. I will try and find out who my MP is as i live in Preston, Lancs, Thanx so much for your reply, im building up alittle courage.. Thanx X0 -

Im not sure about any resident association, i will check it up on the internet as i never thought of it, thanx!!
Neighbour has a family, a wife who is always drinking as i see so many empty bottles outside there recycling every 2 weeks, in bags aswell as the blue bins is full of beer cans and wine bottles.. Also they do have 2 children, thats why they should understand my situation but to them money matters on the value of their property rather than their own safety. I do my own things and i get little smerks of both, but mainly from the guy. I dont even take my babies out much in the pram as im scared as afew times his reved his car like he was going to run us over0 -
