Soda cystals are very good for soaking baking tins/pans in (any with burnt-on food), very effective.0

So, now I have a question please...I am dying to try the soda crystals to cut down on washing powder and the vinegar instead of softener tips, but could some kind person please tell me how much to use for a normal washload?People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Since the original soda crystals contain no phosphates, enzymes or bleach, they are entirely biodegradable.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi everyone. I live in a hard water area and have been using Calgon in my washing machine but it is very expensive. Is washing soda the same thing for a quarter of the price?0

There is another thread somewhere about this and I'm not sure how to make a link for you. Have a look down the list in OS. It's there somewhere...I think it's titled Calgon.
Anyway, the main point made on it seems to be that soda crystals are the same but cheaper, Yes! HTHTess x

I asked this once on here and a lot of people replied that their husband/dad was a plumber and reckoned Calgon was a total waste of money - the SC work very well. I mix it in my washing powder anyway.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
