I was just wondering if anyone else had come across the same thing when weaning.

CAFC - T has also decided she isn't as keen on milk lately. She is only taking about 150-180....I just let her take what she wants. She does have 1/2 jar of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner then just a bottle before bed at 7pm. She soes go 4hrs between feeds though and feeds at roughly 7/11/3/7.

Give it a day or so, he will probably get his appetite back. If he seems happy in himself there is probably nothing to worry about, but if the HV is due to visist anyway, just get her to check what he's eating to put your mind at rest.

    xx

    Thanks hun.

DD1 was all over the show, twins kept all their milk feeds a long time.

DD1 is now a walking dustbin. Her (picky) sisters left their roast dinner and she ate hers, both of theirs and then asked for cheesecake

  • Not sure how many milk feeds L has, but once we were on three meals a day Henry went to having milk at roughly 7/10/12/3/7 then once he started eating more at meals he dropped the 7am and 12pm ones. Now at 13 months he has three full meals a day, plus about 120ml milk at 10 & 3 and about 150ml at 7pm.

I would just take L's lead and as long as you think he's getting enough fluids I wouldn't worry to much if he turns down the odd feed.

delain she sounds like my eldest, she normally eats her dinner then whatever DS has left, most the time all his dinner the fusspot. I can't remember the weaning part and am no where near there this time. I still just trying to get the baby to go longer than 3 hours at night - please go just a little bit longer.

Well I have a really sore throat from when they put the tubes down in the operation, the painkillers don't seem to be helping and whilst out I checked at the pharmacy and tyrozets are ok to use but they are not helping much. I hope it gets better soon but in the meantime we will mostly be having soup for dinner.

He only bought her the pink barbie TV :eek:

And I can't exactly not let her use it because there'll be contact and a court hearing and don't need him saying I'm depriving her of a Christmas present he got her! He's only showing off and spending so much because of said court hearing :(

Think I'm going to have to get one of those timer plugs so it can only be used at certain times so she doesn't become a square eyes or stay up at night watching things.

I am so anti tv in kids rooms and he knows it :mad:

    *and breathe*

Merfe try ice cream, and thick milkshakes (a la mcdonald's lol) to soothe your throat, try and swallow bits of ice cream whole IYSWIM. That worked for me after having my tonsils out and after my gastroscopy.

Its amazing how some kids are so different re food even after growing up in the same household :rotfl:

  • Delain, my mum was asking me if Katie was having a TV in her room as there will be a spare one going after Christmas. I refused it, she doesn't spend much time in her room apart from sleep.

DH and I discussed it before and she won't be getting a TV until she asks for one.

I think it's a good idea about the timer plug, I'll have to remember that when/if Katie gets one.

Okay, the GP had a last-minute cancellation so we managed to get Finn there - good thing as he'd gone from being very hot but not grumpy to a whiny mess literally before my eyes...poor thing. He's got ANOTHER ear infection and possibly something with his eyes (doc said he couldn't tell if it was just a side effect of the cold or a thing in itself). Temp was running 104, bless him. Put him straight to bed after getting home, I really hope he's better in the morning. I can't believe he deteriorated so rapidly!

Sorry I've caught up and forgotten most of what I read. *hugs* to everyone who needs them. Esp Delain and poor little Finn :(

I have a poorly babba here too, he's caught the cold that DH and I had last week I think. We were both feverish with it and he has got a temperature. He's been so subdued and clingy and has a nasty little cough. Hope it passes quickly.
