Toddlers are at the stage where they're beginning to grasp just how much control they can have on their surroundings and yours are exercising it. You finally give in and then they get their way. And so it goes on. Stop giving them a choice and you might be able to get them to eat whatever it is that you are offering. You just have to decide who's in control and persevere no matter what. Personally, I think it should be the competent adults in charge not the tinies.0

We had a similar problem with our child before. My wife tried to give her healthy food but she was at the stage where she only likes junk food. It made my wife worry a lot too so she gave her vitamins supplement and a lot of milk. Then little by little she added healthy food to her plate and over the years, our child learned to enjoy the healthy food. I guess the key would be not to show disappointment or any reaction when the child refuses to eat the food you give them and never force them to eat because they will perceive meal time as a bad time.Mr. Mulla0

From what I can remember from when my kids were toddlers (they are now 16, 14 & 12) the health visitor used to say that it was just a phase & to give them what they wanted as it's fine as long as they eat something.
I can also remember someone telling me that their child would only eat tomato sauce sandwiches for a while but obviously they will soon get bored & want to eat something else.
It's not worth making everything into a battle & my kids eat a pretty balanced diet now even though they all went through phases were they would only eat cheese & tomato pizza's.
Good luck op.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

This fits my memories of No1 son and my youngets brother.
I have had to have a little smile into myself watching them have the same thing with son's stepson and brothers "stepgrandkids". (I am not sure that is a real word)The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

morning everyone x
If susan is in the hospital she might appreciate a text from concerned friends today, it gets very boring in there. Hopefully that is all it is and they are looking after her well in there.
Bobby smiled at me this morning, his first proper smile. I was quite shocked but he is 6 weeks tomorrow so right on time.
We are having a proper PJ day today, not going to bother getting dressed and might even have a snooze on the sofa whilst the kids watch a DVD then do a boxed cupcake making session this afternoon. I've put on some laundry to wash and I'll do bobbys bottles later and that is the extent of my housework today. Tomorrow I will do more.
Hope everyone is well today and little ones aren't getting too over excited x0 -
Morning all, Finn still very poorly so DH is staying home with him. We had already decided this when the CM phoned and said she was ill! Clearly my little boy is infecting everyone, as I do not feel great either but still at work. DH, the usual hypochondriac (:p) is the only healthy one! Anyway, hope the antibiotics start having an effect soontop 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
