I need a cold cure, stat!
Really feel ill and then I start coughing and can't breath because my airways feel clogged with gunk so I have to somehow cough with no breath TMI! And the boys are moaning because they are sitting with gloves on and I have a vest top and the windows open! DH will be home for about 4pm probably with no sympathy. Can't even take more painkillers till 4pm either.
And I stupidly bought the boys winter duvets that are now both smelling of pee (DS2) and they won't fit in the WM. Bath + duvet + feet = YUCK!0 -
Tia, can you get to a decent shop? It is the least MSE thing in the world, but Aveda Blue Oil cures my colds within half an hour - it's super menthol oil, you roll it onto your forehead and chest, it burns your eyes and nose, and then you feel instantly better.
Failing that, a shot or two of whisky and some orange juice xxx Feel better.
Edit: and if you're stomping the duvets in the bath, I'd make the boys do it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

for my colds, I always try to sweat them out, so loads of layers, or stonking hot bath, really vigorous body scrubbing, lots of hot liquids, hot flannels over the face etc
DH woke L, but I'll let him off as he did then clean the whole kitchen, including the oven which hasnt been cleaned since before we moved in LOL
Oooooooooooooooooh and new house found to make a bid on, we saw it before and I really liked it but needs a lot of work, so just had a very grown up chat with my parents about it, calling our builder who went round to see if to ask for quote for works to make it liveable and then potentially putting in a really cheeky offer.....*vibes needed once again please*
Hugs to all the sicky ones, esp the diddies

T'is looking nice and festive now. Tree and decs up. All cosy watching HP The Order of The Pheonix. If OH watches The Half Blood Prince tomorrow, we may at some point get to go watch the new one at the pictures.
Was really hoping to get out in the world today, but still rough. So yet another PJ day. But hey at least im not spending any money.0 -
Back from work and shattered. Still loads of snow and ice around. Main roads are ok but the side roads and car parks are difficult to drive on. Got stuck in one car park and couldn't reverse out, but luckily I was on the end of the row, so I could drive forwards out of the side of the bay!
Just thawing out before I have to pop out and do another audit.
Was in Marks and Spencer and picked up a food ordering brochure. Charlotte is over the moon with it and is currently deciding what meat she wantsHere I go again on my own....0 -

My mum went through the menopause when I lived there and had all doors and windows open in this kind of cold. If she caught you wrapping up warm she'd yell at you that it wasn't cold. That's the hormones for youOn the downside sitting on the sofa (which was by the door, so effectively outside!) in the night time in sub zero November in PJ's has left me with a hip that hurts when it's cold. Thanks mum :rotfl:
I second what the other person (whose name I can't think of now) said. Make them do it. Or just ram it in the WM, or swap it for one that does fit in there and save the thick one for when he stops wetting. especially if he's likely to wet it again.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
