  • oh wow...how cool is that?!

he is quite chilled out...he happily goes for naps/sleeps while Im not in the room..which is ace. Was worried id have a clingy baby, but he is fab.

I too have a sling, I have three dogs (hence the user name) so he is in it 3-4 times per day for 1/2 hour at a time, he loves it, snuggles into my chest, and off he goes snoring.

We are not having a good time atm with the reflux/colic. Im taking him to Babyclinic on wednesday, Gripe Water seems to work better than Infacol, but he really doesnt like the taste (tho I like the smell of it LOL)

Oh I am jealous that he'll sleep on his own - we can now get V to sit on her own on a mat or cushion for about 10minutes, but if she's left alone in the room all hell breaks loose. Still she slept in the pram this morning after a brisk walk (must have been the cold) so onwards and upwards. We're infacolling too, when I remember, my eldest is very keen on it for some reason - good luck at the clinic.

Just spent a lovely morning with Som and Tahlie. Hope Tahlie isn't too traumatised over H's jealousy with her toys - she will have a shock when baby V can steal them too but we've got a while to work on that.

Bought far too many lemon and lime jaffa cakes at tesco - 43p for double packet as they are halloweeny. May go back for more tomorrow.

Welcome Nik - I suppose you know all about the standard questions we ask new posters but I feel a bit :o asking about a 13 year old's poop :rotfl:

Miss M has been snotting freely all day so we've not gone to Gymboree. We were supposed to be there and at the doctors so I put on a nice top and good jeans and they're wasted!! Only the woman in the bakery saw them and clearly she doesn't care what I'm wearing; she normally sees me disguising a pajama top under a coat.

Welcome. Alice likes Numberjacks. In the summer she had a phase where she insisted on wearing pink and when people asked her name she said it was three. Then she decided zero was better because green is her favourite colour.

  • Hi Nik, think there are a few of us creeping out of lurkdom lately :)

edinburgh folks - thanks for the invite next week but I won't be able to come (nothing to do with being a fraidy cat either!). It clashes with a baby group I go to with a friend. Maybe another time :)

We've been to Jo Jingles this morning and off to the GP in an hour to see if he can help us fight waiting list battles. Fingers crossed but I'm not holding out a huge amount of hope.

SS I am perplexed by your signature. What counts as essential and what counts as non-essential?

Toothpaste and deodorant are essential, fizzy items that you drop into the bath are non-essential. Perfumes are non-essential; baby shampoo is essential. Grown-up shampoo would be essential if I didn't have a stockpile of six bottles from when there was a Boots glitch on Aussie products :o

Makeup wouldn't have been essential if all mine hadn't been stolen from my suitcase on the way to Bermuda
