Kat, in that case, it is possible.

The only problem is that when it comes time for being overdue, then by your dates you would be very overdue which could potentially be a problem as the placenta starts to breakdown after 43 weeks if I remember correctly (someone else can explain that more, I've never gotten to term so never had to worry about it), but the hospital could be going by their later date and not think about that risk (it is a small risk, but thought I'd mention it).

Maybe you should bring it up with your midwife or possibly your consultant (who can change dates), just in case....

As a bit of a reference, DS2 was born at 33weeks weighing 5lb12oz. So your 6lb is not that large really.

    Yay for Tea rolling :j

Sorry to hear about your Mam EA. At the end of the day, it's just stuff and at least she is safe and well. Look after her xx

Kat - Charlotte arrived at 36 weeks and she weighed 7lb 3oz! Have a chat with your MW to put your mind at rest though.
Here I go again on my own....

    Evening all..

:grouphug: and :j where required xx :o

Been to Nottingham for Rhys' latest appointment today. Everything fine, got the usual "let's see where we can add extra calories" chat but they decided his diet was fine (syrup pancakes and egg custards by the barrow-load! :p) and just gave us some sugary powder stuff to add to his water to cram a few more in (20cals per 100ml water) He's now 7.8kg and 74cm - whopping! :p Hopefully, if the local consultants agree, we should be able to move to bloods only every three months and always at Notts (since they've never had any issues with their lab); had bloods done today and they'll phone us with the results soon (last lot weren't as great as the previous ones but not bad in the grand scheme of things).

Went to Ikea afterwards and got a unit, baskets and photo frame for Rhys' room and bead maze for Christmas. Also got chance to talk to OH about present ideas for his awkward family and friends so now I'm armed with a list of things to search for later :)

Going back to do half a day holiday cover for my old job tomorrow. Dreading it, really - old boss already gearing up to use it as an opportunity to lord it over me again :( Grrr... *think of the £££, think of the £££* :p

Hope everyone has a nice evening xx

Oh and I joined the MSE Parents group earlier, thanks Sami :D Haven't had chance to check in there yet though, should I pop over and introduce myself? Are you all there?

Sorry Cutterby, I quoted this earlier and then didn't hit the proper reply button. Introduce yourself - we love new people :)

And don't worry about not replying to all the chatter, don't even feel obliged to catch up. If you need to post or ask or something please just do. And that goes for anyone else who's pregnant or has a child and is worried or confused about something.

  • Of course you were Tia. I believe you, thousands wouldn't. Currently ignoring a temper tantrum here. We had got into a habit of sitting with her at bedtime, and trying to crack it. Fun fun.
