Got a msg on my answerphone while in Tesco to phone the hospital "urgently"... scared the life out of me :( Apparently today's efforts were insufficient for all tests (six little bottles not enough for five tests, apparently!) so we've got to go back tomorrow morning and have the whole thing again! :( Not happy...

Brednall, I also think they have to offer you a comparable role and at the moment they're not; the change in location IMO is probably reasonable but paid parking is not, and nor is getting all the crap that nobody else wants to do.

What I would do is spend the weekend researching the law re comparable jobs and then send them a recorded letter (keeping a copy for yourself) saying that you believe the position offered to be contrary to [This Law, this section, this paragraph etc] on [These Grounds] and while you want to return to work with them these conditions will not be acceptable so you suggest [This Compromise]. I would also make the compromise significantly in your favour in case they want to counter-negotiate so that if they negotiate and you keep a job with them you end up roughly where you wanted to be ;)

I don't know if I'm right, but I wonder whether changes in role are acceptable if they are also applicable to everyone else (ie. the move to paid parking due to location change) so are not as a result of having been on maternity leave. I still agree that it is worth more investigation.

Hugs for you Brednall, it's tough going back to work in any circumstances but this must be really hard.

Well last month he pre-ordered Fable, then spent the money out of his bank thinking that they wouldn't take it until he got paid... But they tried to take it early and he asked me to transfer the money into his bank... All full of promises to give it me back, which is utter bull because he never ever ever gives me any money back... Which is fine, it's his money too blah blah blah But I was really annoyed about him asking me for this £30 when I had very little left in the bank anyway and he shouldn't have spent it in the first place...

So he got paid yesterday, the bill money went into my account, minus this money he promised he would definitely give me... I asked about it and he was adamant he was going to give me the cash so I could pay for driving lessons with it... Then a minute ago he was waffling about buying something for me from Boots for christmas, but wanted to leave it until he gets tax credits on Monday just incase he needs some money over the weekend... I asked where my £30 was and get a blank look followed by a great steaming pile of excuses of how all his money has gone on other things and he doesn't even have any left "for himself"

Big pile of waffle, sorry... And I know it's only £30... But it caused a row at the time, and I know it's going to cause another one when he turns the stupid bloody game off and we go to bed...

    Hugs Krystal. That sounds mega-annoying.
