I'm here. Just having a bad week. I have made some progress on my steps forward but each one seems to be countered by an equal step back.
Sorry, not meaning to be cryptic.
Benjamin is still poorly, although on the mend a little. He was in bed by 6.40pm tonight (so much for his bedtimes getting later). I haven't had to go up but he is very unsettled.
Jillie - Benjamin has a banana every night before bed/before his bath. He doesn't always eat it but it is part of his routine, he asks for one and then marches me to the sofa saying 'sit down' sternly!!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Hmmm Alfie just woke up and is crying. I went up, stayed up for 10mins and put him back in his cot but he's crying again. Dunno what's up with him
He doesn't really do waking up and not settling. 0 -
I've just voted for Ayana again, Michelle.
Does anyone else love the thrill of seeing a PT regular as the last poster on the pg thread and clicking on there to see if they are actually pregnant or just offering advice? I just saw JAM's name and thought I had rumbled her, but she was just offering advice.
I forgot to say earlier that Henry can now bark like a dog when you ask what noise a dog makes. It is too cute for words.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Well done CAFC for making steps to get help xxButtonmoons wrote: »Can someone find me a link or proof that this is not true?
One of Idris' friends is saying that parents have to support their child until the age of 23 if they go to uni, weather they stay at home or not.
True or false? IT MUST BE FALSE!
I know the absent parent doesn't have to support a child at uni. My ex only has to support the boys until they leave sixth form.
Not sure about the resident parents. My Mam and Dad had to supply income details for something and paid my brothers rent when he was at uni.
Josh definitely wants to go to uni, but he's going to have to get a part time job to help pay for it, as we probably won't be able to fund it all. No point asking ex for help as he'd rather they got a job at 16 so he no longer has to pay for them *rolleye smilie*
Lovely pics smartie xxHow easy is that stuff to lay? We've got carpet tiles and they are absolutely vile, who puts carpet in a kitchen anyway?!
We had carpet in the kitchen and it just ended up minging. It had a huge grease mark in front of the oven where I took a roasting tin with a chicken in it out of the oven and dropped it, then another huge black mess in front of the drawers where the top came off the shoe polish
I put vinyl wood effect planks down as a temporary measure in 2002, and they are still there
They're starting to lift up now though, so maybe it's time for something else.
Hope tomorrow goes ok for OH Krystal xx
Been to boot camp this evening. Did loads of boxing and my shoulders are throbbing now. I love boxing :cool:Here I go again on my own....0 -

all I have to say is HA!...
It must be crap, thats what student loans and grants are for, to get them through!
The degree my sis did (physio) has one of the highest #hrs it would have been pretty much impossible for her to put in enough hours on her course and hold down a PT job. My dad worked his a$$ off while she was at uni because not only do they use the parents income details they used the previous years P60, they didn't give a crap that my dad's employer had had a very good year the previous yr with lots of night shifts (aka double pay) and that he was not going to earn anywhere near that amount again.
Her bursary was about £150 the first year, paid in 3 instalments -the first term it didn't even cover the cost of her books. She got a low amount loan because 'they' decide how much you can have based on your parents income.
I didn't really want to go to uni but even if I did I would have had to take a couple of years out because my parents couldn't have afforded to have both of us at uni
they had to take out a loan in her final year because her LL was a scammer and kept her deposit
for the flat. I worked every weekend while she was there too, I used to buy her a weeks worth of food shopping once a month out of my wages.
Its a crap system that makes it incredibly difficult for working class people and its getting harder all the time
Sorry for the big rant but it annoys me that we did all this when a friend got a full loan that he didn't even need because his step dad is loaded but they don't/didn't include step parents in the calculations!0
