Jesus Em, your cats are right expensive costing critters.

You know what, one of my "friends" from school had 1 blue eye and 1 green eye, she reminded me of that dog from Blue Peter :rotfl: :D
I'm just glad he didnt have to have the eye out like we thought he would at first, I dont think I could have afforded the op for that and the vet wouldnt have done it and waited for the insurance to pay out :o

I'm a serial lurker and if I were a proper poster I'd been well pee'd off and feeling both picked on and under surveillance. I know you offer lots of support. Carry on as you are, keep up the good work, I'm off back to x factor.

Ah - everytime a lurker pops up I wonder if it is WM's lurker....now I know your face ;)

Post more of your victorian mother-ness - make me look slack!!!

Where is MFD? I demand to know if she tweaked the recipe for chicky pie and if it went down well with the hungry boys?

    The pie was lovely :D

TBH I am not good a following recipes :o so this is what I did:

    - weighed the onions
    - just took a hunk of chicken (more than stated probably....well definitely)
    - added the stated amount of flour and stock.
    - sauted some chopped mushrooms in some stock and added them in.

I made the pastry with a mix of sunflower and olive oil and it was good!

It held together as a pie when I lifted it out of the pyrex dish :j:j:j my first time ever!!!!

The boys ate with gusto, but it was very filling! I have 3 pieces in the freezer!

I also made caramelized onion hummous and roasted pepper hummous (using 3 colours of pepper) and the roasted pepper one was gorgeous!!!

    When are you doing Ikea?
If you mean the IKEA competition thing I gave up because it was annoying.

I was going to say, house cats would be much more inexpensive, but not if you have mine :rotfl:

Its always scruffy that is getting broken isn't it? Does he not know when you fight you close your eyes and just randomly punch? It's like a rule....

    What for?

    Some advice pretty please. :A

Was considering getting a tutor for Ben once a week to get his literacy level up a little. At the moment with the level he's at he will spend 2yrs in this class and the teacher is not good and kids tend to go backwards. Also the 2 boys who will stay down with him are . He is thankfully making new friends. Anyway, thought it would be more :money: to consider doing it myself, say every day 4-4.30pm. That way he would get loads more than he would with a tutor. What do you think? Is there a programme I could follow?

Our dearly departed cat, Nasty Bastage, had only one eye. It was very sad, although since he also had hip dsyplasia his missing eye and limp (and his general disposition, the little horror) always made me think of pirates.
